Thanks so much for the advices and information.

Yes I have understood the need to plan keto diet properly to avoid high cholesterol. Best to seek expert advice.

Agreed that stress, sleep and exercise are part and parcel of achieving a healthy life.

Singapore is such a fast pace high stress environment. Not so easy.
We are lucky to be living in this time where information are available readily and it is free.

In fact the knowledge you can gain from it can be comparable with what your normal GP might know.

For now , looking at what you have posted so far, I think it is more advisable to do it with the professionals in order to have a positive impact , as you can see from your threads , many people have negatives experiences with it and even some have stated it is dangerous, that is why I posted in your thread giving you all the link to the medical establishment in Singapore as proof that is not the case and it is now offered by them.

The other way to learn more is by joining clinical trials. There are many trials that do not require the participants to take any experimental drugs, such as 1 such trial I am current in, which is a sleep trial using Oura Ring.
The Apps also gives your daily stess level. Let me see whether I have a photo to post and show you.

Yes, highly inflammatory and because it's polyunsaturated, it's easily oxidised

I only cook with pork lard oil or butter at home (sometimes I use ghee)

Like I always say - do your own due diligence

You will be surprised how little we still don't know about our bodies and what makes them tick

Instead of saying cannot, why don't you start by asking WHY cannot...

If you are happy with their answer, then good

If not, do more research on your own

I have said many times - before we feed our bodies, we must first feed our minds

I didn't embark on my lifestyle just on a whim - I did a lot of research (maybe cos that's what I do for living) and was convinced by the evidence and the science behind it
Wow you are a researcher ?

Not in the medical field ;)

I look for investment opportunities and many of our investments are in bio-tech and medical field dealing with cancer research/cure

There is a difference

Keto doesn't need to be high fats

LCHF focuses mainly on high fats, moderate proteins and low carbs

Oats are bad - they spike blood sugar A LOT so not part of keto or LCHF

Just eat 2 eggs cooked in butter - healthier

I see. Keto don't need high fats.

Oats are bad? I think those steel cut oats are suppose to be good? Maybe you are talking about instant oat?

Depends on your macros buddy and end of the day what do u wish to acheive? Usually people on strict Keto will restrict to <_30g carbs daily. For me on LCHF now, I try not to exceed 150g carbs daily to maintain my weight.
One cup of oats easily 28-30g carbs so no.. I don't consider that low carbs or keto. If your yoghurt is sweetened then it will probably be on the higher carbs count too.

I don't eat sweeten or low fat yogurt. Mine is those Greek yogurts. I mixed in nuts and avocado.

So if eat oat even thou rest of the day no carb or added sugar also cannot?

Instant oats is just bad

I do see some folks take steel cut oats but I don't so I can't say if it's better

Someone once commented - steel cut oats and instant oats - isn't it like comparing filtered cigarettes vs unfiltered cigarettes ;)

Anyway, best to test it out on yourself bah - if it works for you, then good lor

n=1 and you know yourself best

I mean I am no oncologist. So I won't dare to tell someone with cancer to eat keto or something.

Even if i do research and read alot, how do i know what i am reading are correct or what i understand from the readings are correct?

I scared I don't know what I don't know, fall into dunning Kruger, and get others into trouble. So I say better don't share.

But if you know the specifics, sure, please share.

A bit off-topic

Is the Oura ring any good?

I thought of getting one - ya, I am a bit of a data nerd (perils of the job)

Keep seeing this Hume band too

All the reimbursement I received for these clinical trials I used them to fund my various non standard blood test which I do it every year.
See it as an investment in your own health - win win ;)

Can't help you here - you need to develop your own analytical skillset and be able to read through studies after studies and make sense of these data

No need to be an oncologist but if you have an open mind, you may see what the professionals can't ;)

Steel cut oats are super fantastic. Drops cholesterol a lot. Super nutty texture and very tasty and chewy. Oats are proven to drop cholesterol.

I find the sleep tracking not very good , in a sense it cant track properly the start of your sleep because I have a habit to relax in my bed few hours before my bedtime and it starts tracking. I am also wearing Garmin smartvivosmart5 which has better tracking of the sleep.

Why dont you join the clinical trial you get them for free to try for 2 years and than you keep it but only problem there is a month subscription to pay for using the Apps( I think) , during the trial period the study pay it.
Basically in order to be accepted to the Oura Ring sleep study you need to be in the Umbrella study that is basically focus on cardiovascular health and there you have the Garmin.
