At >35 (some probably even >40), the person mental health is not saved because every BTO balloting failed as HDB did not build enough for all the singles demand...

Even more stressed as housing get more and more expensive each year...

Need to write one long story to justify moving out of the house.

Don't think he was aware that there were many teenagers back in the 1960s-1990s who might not have completed their studies, and moved out of their houses for different reasons.

Why must get bto then can move out?

I moved out to stay on my own at age 36, rented a room outside for $700 a month

Then stay a child, obey your parents and be thankful they let you have a place to stay.

Want to adult, get your own place. I didnt write the rules of adulting.
Why want to pay others $700 monthly when u could have finance ur home for that $700 monthly IF there was enough flat available for every eligible singaporean?

Overseas u can easily get proper 1 room apartments.

SG it's not much different from subletting where u may live with your landlord sharing the same toilet.
You need to ask yourself if you prefer your mental health to be affected by your parents or your landlord.. 😂

There is no perfect solution. :o

Why staying with parents will cause mental health issues?

Then stay a child, obey parents and be thankful to them for letting one stay?

Pakcik left home at 18. Not easy, hence no savings and have tough life also. Those living at home with silver spoon up their .... will not understand how tough life can be. But, the plus side is you do not have to be beholden to anyone but your landlord.
