Go for it if it's free. In recent years, I have been paying my own, $30 per jab is cheap compared to the suffering and medical bills when you kena flu.
My family doc told me ots free.
Yeah gonna jab maybe tomorrow...

Would be more effective if those sick wear masks but some of them are just so stubborn or selfish

Cannot say like that de.
Wong sir already said wear mask give false sense of protection. 🤣
Keep personal hygiene is upmost important.
So cannot blame those not wearing.

Thats good.

Actually each year got 2 updated jabs version. Haven't heard any that took 2 jabs a year. But 1 will be enough yearly.
I took flu jab this year too, i think it is free one.

Flu jab is one good protection, but it isn't a full protection. Flu vaccine only reduces the chance of full blown effect of Flu, even if you infected with Influenza A, your effects will be mild.

But the best protection is still basic hygiene. Wear a mask in crowded areas, like public transport. I always wear it, because there are a lot people on mrt/buses coughing and sneezing machines out there.
Yup, today just implemented Mask On policy and santizer for family. My P3 daughter exams just started today to Friday. Really hope no fall sick.

U see those patients at polyclinic n hospitals are not putting on mask as well..I was like wtf..
Not just patients. Even some nurses and docs do not wear masks.

I always thought in operation theatre medical staffs need to wear mask but in Nov 2023 during my op in NUH, the anaesthesiologist did not even wear mask.

Dear snowdrop05,

How old is your colleague? I got the virus and I feel like whole body is breaking up, with headaches, body aching and feeling cold. How does your colleague manage to stay focus and work under such condition?

Confidence for the future. More good years ahead... Let us take Singapore forward together.
Thank you.

The influenza virus (Provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)
Japan is in the grip of an influenza epidemic, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare announced on Oct. 3.
It said the flu season started five weeks earlier than last year, its second-earliest start in 20 years.
The ministry called on people to take preventive measures such as frequent handwashing, wearing masks and getting vaccinated.
The number of flu patients at designated medical institutions nationwide over the most recent reporting period, Sept. 22 to Sept. 28, was 4,030. This equates to 1.04 patients per institution, exceeding the 1.00-threshold that indicates the start of an epidemic.
During this period, the number of childcare centers, kindergartens, and elementary, junior high and high schools that closed schools, grades or classes increased by 40 from the previous week to 135, or more than three times the figure for the corresponding period last year.
Reiko Saito, a professor of public health at Niigata University said the early start of the flu outbreak was likely influenced by the record high number of foreign tourists visiting Japan.
“A full-scale outbreak is likely to occur around late December to February, as usual. There’s no need for panic, but I believe it’s safer for children and the elderly to get vaccinated by the end of November,” she said.
