When Koreans said Chinese, they meant PRCs.

My Korean friends never associated me as a Chinese. They associated me as a Singaporean.

Well... I have no idea about you.

When I go to other countries, e.g. Korea, Japan, HongKong, the ppl there e.g. salesperson) all treat me nicely deh... Coz lao auntie me, dun talk loudly like a PRC? I am polite deh... until the 7-11 convenience shop staff thought that I was a Japanese! I told them that I am a Singaporean and she said, "no wonder...".

How one behaves overseas, will affect others' opinions of your country's ppl deh...

Yes. It’s rather quietly open. I went to Seoul in Aug this year. I saw Chinese national looking shock. I looked back, got this Korean chap, carrying a placard poster, walking around. Message was rather anti Chinese sentiments
Crimes involved goes back decades but it got worse due to inappropriate policies like visa free. Then it get even worse when they try to intervene on the last election

some are quick to blame Singaporeans for their own doing, absurd but we always hear it. But really it is what they ownselves stirred that leads to these, not blind hate.
