Once RTS/SEZ is up, gg liao. Just took my last JSS payment. Past 6 months barely 10 recruiters/call/email approached me. Currently doing prop firm trading. Managed to make some money. Gonna stay consistent and buy a bigger account. At least trading skill is mine to keep. Don’t need to worry about finding job/getting replaced etc.

Your work experience is in prop trading? Should be quite easy to find job since it's niche and you have direct years of experience.

Year end again coming..
People probably hold back resignation letter to get the bonuses .so will it cause jobs reduction? And from bad to worst.?

Pple will still leave bad jobs if there are escape routes.

But if nowhere to escape, will just hang on and get any aws etc since economy isn't exactly very good.

I see.. So you are someone very calm and sticks to rulebook and not affected by any bias.

(that's what trading is about... Following a system and not be bias)

You interested?

Quite frankly I just think this jobs bank is unnecessary.... Just refine mycareersfuture to search by district. Why create another portal.... Machiam Singapore is so big until most pple can't commute for work.

"Some smaller businesses may not have the resources for recruitment beyond their immediate geographical area, so word does not get around, he said."

The comment above is just so ridiculous. Mycareersfuture is free to post isn't it?

You can make use of them as a form of pay hike but need to plan carefully to make sure the transition is to a similar industry/related role.

Another downside is that you wake up to reality that how tough it is to switch to another industry cause the courses just scratch the bare minimum and more grinding hours are required to level up the foundations.

Yeah. I don’t have the ambitious for job title, climb cooperate ladder, get burned out easily, selective introvert. I rather earn less but have more free time and less stress. Unfortunately, many blue collar jobs aren’t sustainable and respectable. All the judgement from relative, family, friends if you’re a blue collar worker. I have parents, myself, future other half/kids to feed. Seeing from a long term perspective, trading is a high income skills and a chance to break free from rat race.

Just curious, how long have you been trading?

It's very different when you trade for a living (using own savings) vs trading with spare cash.

I can only say that very small minority succeed in being a trader. Even pro trader friends tell me they don't trade their own money. They put their own money in more stable long term equities and funds. They told me, even if their work is 8hours, they really only monitor and trade 1 out of those 8 hours (opening and closing when volatility increases). The stable hours they just keep an eye whilst doing other stuff. If you are similar, I suggest you get some simple part time work during those down hours.
