Older hdb estates have thicker floors and walls, so walking don't sound like stomping. I stay in these older estates, not much issues on noise. I went to my cousin's new estate and saw for myself how simple chores sound like annoying noises.

More and more Singaporeans are getting less considerate.. yesterday went to food court... knn... some lao uncles playing songs loud loud on their handphone that was placed on stand.. until it is difficult to order from the nearby food stall....
