I think nowadays majority of people are satisfied with just using an iPhone to take pictures..no need to carry the bulky camera around also
Because only the pro do that. IPhone now can take decent pictures, no point buying a bulky one. If you want to press on, might as sell ask why people do not use film but go digital. 😅

Can just capture in dslr and then sd transfer into phone.
Nowadays many mirrorless are capable of rendering usable jpeg in body.
I know but why carry extra baggage and do extra steps? Unless it's your hobby or your job just use smartphone. Last time need camera because our phones are trash nia

Phone camera has its limitations such as
- DOF not shallow
- lack of details especially background
- cannot achieve sun burst effect with small aperture
- long zoom limitations
- low lighting limitations

But it is good enough for food photography and videography.

just get a good camera bag to put all the gears, it is treated as carry on anyway no need to pay extra

That 3 guys is sitting there for a while minding their own biz, then waited and happened that this 4th guy came into the picture lol then I finally get my shot.

All the die hard dedicated photographers here

I dun do that … just snap and go

getting on in the years so just make do with phone. Just have to get use to composing picture without a viewfinder. Screens used to be hard to see under bright sun but newer screens are much better

Canon G7X is so light and small, way better than any cam phone
I used to have this Canon G7X for past few years but have replaced it with Fujifilm X100VI for sharper images and better image quality and also better straight-out-of-camera colors and also 6.2K video recording, not to mention better image quality in low light conditions.

moi still think phone not there yet. Its physics.
Until the day when they can pack a 35mm ff into a phone and telephoto up to 200mm with equivalent mtf to an actual lens, i'll still carry both for travel

I used to do that but after stopping photography I felt more free. Now I just carry a sling bag with my belongings like passport and cash. No need carry mirrorless cam and tripod le

I dun really use tripod nowadays cos seldom see the need to use it cos dun shoot long exposures shots anymore. Over the years i have train my hand to be very steady even if its a 1-3 secs shot
