With B550 mobo, you can upgrade to better chip next time when needed.

Thanks. I'm a non RGB user, prefer air cool setup as I'm not that confident in self build.

5600G is for office setups, it has lesser l3 cache and is slower than the 5600 by a lot. For gaming always take the 5600, especially if your setup has a gpu

It has already happened. The 5800X3D now cost more than the 9800X3D.

The non-X3D 5000s are still reasonably priced. Even the 5600 can provide a decent gaming experience. I had the 5800X3D for more than a year before upgrading (when I got my 4K monitor) as my 5600G was sufficient for my needs at 1080p.

5600 is about 20+% faster than the 5600G in CPU limited scenarios.

5600G also only supports PCIE3.0, 5600 supports pcie 4.0.
I think the answer is pretty clear...

Finally got a R7 7700 after last purchase of i5 gen4 in 2014, was using a i7 gen6 from office trash until the upgrade. Price in early Nov was 1.3K, and now it has risen to 1.8K with the RAM shortage. Lucky, didn't keep waiting ... should have gotten a spare 32gb DDR5 kit, but as I didn't know what PC spec would I get,I didn't get the chance to get it.
Hopefully on next parts upgrade, prices would fall back to manageable levels.
If you have a fair PC/Laptop, guess it's better to see how to refresh it again.

This psu has lenght of 160mm (not the standard 150mm), hence not compatible with the smaller case above.
I do have spare old Seasonic X660 watt, but i dont think should use that one.

My current spec: Ryzen 7600x, Gigabyte B650M Aeorus Elite AX, 96GB DDR5 6400 CL32, 3 nvme SSD with Zotac 5070ti.

Any recommendation for the PSU? Size, brand and model?

how large is your zotac? For CH 260, a 16cm can actually squeeze in if your gpu isn't too long. I was using a 16cm full ATX PSU on the CH270 plus for the longest time before i bought a SFF PSU

Most PSU is 160mm x 150mm. I tik u shld try fix 1st. U r not using iTX casing. shld be able to fit.

The Superflower Leadex III ATX 3.1 Gold is slightly shorter at 15 x 15 cm. Haven't tried Superflower myself so no idea about performance.

yes saw this, i think so far this is the best budget friendly option if i'm going to go for smaller case.

Alternatively, you can consider the FSP Vita GM. I'm using it with my Jonsbo D32 pro and it fits without any issue. I'm also using it with a 9070xt sapphire pulse.

Main advantage over superflower is that they offer 10 years warranty.
