I understand the logic. How about ballpark of networth with all in (incl HDB and CPF) for somebody like me 48? Is 200k ok? Or is 1m considered rich?
Considering 200k SGD at 48 yo.

Your net worth is very middle class, perhaps slightly above the median adult (according to UBS Global Wealth Report). At 48 yo, you're at a middle of the range age group, according to SG Department of Statistics.

You're better than many who live paycheck-to-paycheck with little emergency fund and your 200k SGD is benchmarked against a wealthy and educated Singapore population, which is a tough benchmark to beat. So congrats!

At this age, if you're healthy, industrious and careful with spending and asset allocation, you've many year ahead to double/triple/quadruple your assets over your lifetime - so keep it up and do not miss this opportunity! You're in a land where there're many job vacancy compared to other countries, you just have to grab the opportunities and pick up the gold coins that lined Singapore pavements!

All the best for you!

What do u invest in stocks and crypto? Are u more of trader or long term investor?
long term investor. buy and hold for passive income.

stocks are roughly split into the below abt 25% each
- iwda for global etf
- tsla/nvda/hst for tech
- es3 for sti etf
- clr for sreits etf

iwda is heavy in tech
es3 is heavy in finance
clr is heavy in real estate

So, the portfolio forms a nice triport diversification.

iwda contains lots of tsla and nvda (is hst a typo?). So there might be duplication or it might be your intention of tilting towards tech via individual stock selections.

finance and real estate are strong in passive income (your desire), tech is not.

hst for china tech etf. personal preference for tech and sreits, so ok to overweight in them.

capital gain is also passive income when u rebalance them.

Cannot be la. $1.5million net worth if include CPF and HDB is quite common net worth for a 48yo. Definitely not top 10%
Most HDB flats are joint ownership need to divide the value of the flat by half. Also those 35+ year old flats value rapidly decaying.
