Sharing what was offered to me last week.

a4jz9zn.png

Looks like very bad recontract offers for M1 6Gbps (with router) as other users get the 6Gbps at S$36.90 per month or S$37.0 per month recontract offer. Current new user pricing is at S$38.90 per month.

As for M1 10Gbps without router, this S$34.90 per month offer is comparable with the current new user offer from M1 physical shop (Christmas new user offer was better at S$30.90 per month). Some existing M1 users are reporting better S$29.90 per month recontract offer.

yah, very bad offer for the 6Gbps plan. How many actually got $29.90? Not sure. I saw 2 users reporting here. But 10Gbps at $34.90, it is definitely better than paying $45 for 1+1Gbps with free AX6000. I saved $10+ a month already.

Yup, their offers varies everytime, promos to promos. I got my 6gbps for $17.90 $32.90, which is one of the best promo with TPLink BE805

Unfortunately recontract offer is kind of case by case for most of the ISPs, including the big three.

M1 is kind of transparent for new users. StarHub and Singtel are not transparent for new users.

So people who do not know may pay much higher than those who know.

That is the reason I created the sticky thread to consolidate information about "hidden" link offer or user reported offer.

I’m happy to share so that u know what is the best deal now, and as a long time m1 user, am I screwed or not.

As someone mentioned, recontract at the last week to get best deal. But by then, the overall price may have gone up by another $5 or more, or drop by and $5 or more. Good luck.

xmas promo was $29.90 for 10gbps w/o router
cny promo price went up to $34.90... sian should had just signup during xmas...

M1 Fibre Internet Pricing is fluctuating quite a bit.

General trend is like the following:
1) It is getting higher for 6Gbps plan with Router. Unlikely you can get S$32.90 per month (recontract offer) or S$34.90 per month (new user offer) in early 2025.

So you may need to be happy with S$36.90 or S$37.90 or even S$38.90 per month now.

2) It is getting lower for 10Gbps plan without router. But then not so sure it will go lower than S$29.90 per month (recontract offer) or S$30.90 per month (new user offer) any time soon.

So you may need to be happy with S$34.90 per month offer now if you cannot get the S$29.90/S$30.90 per month offer.

3) Still M1 3Gbps/6Gbps/10Gbps pricing are pretty decent compared to old 1+1Gbps or 2.5Gbps plans.

4) Another unknown is which direction M1 Fibre Internet pricing will go after the merger of SIMBA/M1.

5) If not happy with M1, you can take a look at StarHub which has pretty decent offers now.

SH has the best cost performance ratio now with the free router. I was temped to get it but the routing issues with china and gaming puts me off. These issues are mentioned in the SH thread and I also checked with gen ai.

2.5 Gbps users have already been stuck on a clearly uncompetitive plan for ~1.5 years, and now M1 is offering another recontract that again costs more for less. Are these 2.5 Gbps users just cash cows for M1? 吃相难看。

M1 time to time will change it's promotion. Relax! When i recontracted in Jan 2024, it was the second time M1 reached out to me for re-contract offer. The first offer they offered me was 2.5gbps and 3gbps for $42 (at the time). Then i waited a few more months, and was targeted with another promo of 6gbps for $32.90 with router

I got offered 9 months super early recontract on my 2.5gb plan at the same rate of $39.90 for 6gb plan and I think it’s a good deal as I get to save on paying for 9 more months.
At most I’m just paying $6 more for 24 months compared to those who got offered $34.90 which is about $144 more over 2 years but get a new router now 9 mths early and speed boost

I am one of those offered to recontract to 10Gbps at $29.90 last week

the joke is I recv sms on 15Jan offering 6Gbps at $37.90. The next day I read about the 10 Gbps deal here and decided to check my M1 app, and found the offer there.

I’m not denying targeted promos exist — the issue is M1 is repeatedly targeting customers already on bad deals with another bad deal. Getting squeezed once might be unfortunate; designing promos to squeeze the same customers twice is 吃相难看. This isn’t about timing, it’s about a company relying on promos to extract higher margins for the same or worse service.

i just checked my app and saw the 6Gbps promo too....seems like it was there, but they didn't send the SMS.

i feel tempted to upgrade but the website has no option for the BE805.

yah, the marketing or sales people in M1 is really one kind. i've been with m1 >10yrs, and they did not offer me the best deal. 2yrs later if SH has better deal I'd surely jump over.
