was referring to this

oh i meant $30.90. typo. someone posted earlier in feb

This S$30.90 per month M1 10Gbps plan new user offer is still there as shown at M1 Shop Jurong Point today 5-Mar-2026. I first saw it on 13-Feb-2026.

I just checked with the staff. He is not sure when the offer will end.

For recontract, you have to check with M1. There may be targeted offer as per the staff.

By right you should be able to do that.

Talk to M1 Shop Staff to see if there are any catches, like digital voice number change, how to cancel the existing plan, etc.

Starhub is probably the best in this kind of situation. They will allow you to do that. Sometimes they may even help to port the old digital voice number to the new one (but take note Starhub digital voice is not free but at S$2.18 per month).

Not bad deal. Without router and get M1 10gbps. Let's see by year end when my contract end, will we get special recon offer to 10G
i called up 1623. they say i can sign up as new line to enjoy this 10gbps promo and then call in to terminate my existing fibre plan.

i also have a sms promo to recontract my current line at $37.90 for 6gbps and $34.90 for 10gbps (without router)

so am thinking might as well go for the $29.90 10gbps promo + $10 router = $39.90. just $2 more than recontracting to the 6gbps at $37.90.

Are you using browser to carry out the test?

You may want to use either the Desktop app or the CLI version to see if that helps. Personally I like to use the CLI version as it works under Windows/macOS/Linux (including OpenWRT) and even FreeBSD/pfSense.

What is the configuration of your PC and the 5Gbe card?

it's auto negotiated at 5gbps full duplex.

I see. Indeed it could be an M1 side problem. Let's see if M1 can help you to sort out the issue.

Does your router has built-in OOkla SpeedTest capabilty? If yes, you can check the WAN side speed first. Even slower CPU based router like HB710 (IPQ5322 CPU) can show about 5Gbps speed (but not 8.2 Gbps for 10Gbps plan)

For example, I use virtual OpenWRT (Intel N100 Mini PC, dual Intel 82599ES 10Gbe SFP+ ports, Proxmox VE, using two virtual CPU core for OpenWRT) as the main router and I can run SpeedTest CLI directly on the router.

Singtel 5Gbps plan.

1) WAN side speed.

Bash:
root@openwrt18:~/ookla# ./speedtest -s 5935

Hi Shifus,

I am currently on Gamepro 1Gbps $53 per month expiring next month.
Right now in a 4-room BTO, I am using GT-AX6000 as main in DB Box and RT-AX3000 as node in living room.
As this plan is no longer available, I am not sure whether to recontract 6 or 10gbps (without router), whether to get the router ASUS RT-BE92U or RT-BE92U and still keep GT-AX6000 in my setup. Kinda noob here need some suggestion and advice.

Thanks in advance.

Cheapest is to go with 3Gbps and reuse your ROG GT-AX6000, which is better than the free RT-BE58U or Archer BE230.

You can sell the RT-BE58U or keep it as a spare unit.

Since you are on the old gamer plan, I assume you play some games. You may want to tell the M1 users here which games you are playing and see if other M1 users here have issues with the latency or not when playing the games.

thanks xiaofan for the reply.

they didnt offer me any recontract deal for 3gbps so 6gbps @37.90 should be more worth right. If i were to get 6gbps, is GT-AX6000 still reusable? Is it still better than RT-BE92U?

As for gaming, these days just some dota2 on steam so i am hoping theres no latency issue.
