Stylus for iPad

Saw mixed review on the Pogo Sketch.
- Some say this is the best stylus for iPad.
- Some say still not easy to write on the iPad.

Any feedback ? What stylus you are using ? How much ? Where you bought it ?

I am using the pogo sketch and using it with WritePad. The experience is not as good when comparing with using a stylus on windows mobile device than on ipad. The problem is not with the software or the pen but with the touch screen. Nevertheless, the stylus improves the handwriting recognition as compare with using finger.

For taking longer note, I find using a stylus is better than finger.:)

Is the Pogo stylus head "felt" or "rubber" ?
Any shop selling this ? How much ?

The stylus tip is made of felt material and you can do a search on the forum for it. Less than $30.

I bought mine from www.istore.com.sg. The tip is fatter than I expected, making it feel more like a brush than a pen. It also requires quite a lot of pressure to activate, but this could be due to the screen protector.

Yes, I agree with you that some screen protector makes the stylus less sensitive. Some softwares required more pressure to write than others. Penultimate is better Smart Note in term of sensitivity.

i am considering getting a stylus for drawing purpose. just like to doodle on my iPad but is it really going to be better? any advise?

i have done a couple of sketch using Tinker app (with finger), this is one of them - check it out :s13:

i bought the pogo sketch stylus. Quite disappointed as it requires quite a bit of pressure to work and is very hard to write or sketch at an angle.

I hope to find a rubber tip that is more firm as the sponge like material used on pogo is not very suitable.

My friend has one with the rubber tip. He told me not to buy the one with rubber tip. It was very difficult to write using the rubber tip. He was looking for the felt tip.

For now, a work-around was he put a costape at the tip. It is smoother to write on the iPad now.

haha then i guess iDevices are not meant to be used with stylus..

i think there's no one stylus in the market that is precise like writing with pen and paper .... till then we have to make do with the one that one felt comfortable with ....

Go to youtube and search for DIY iphone stylus and you can how easy to construct one. I am not sure how the capacitive touch screen work. Is the form material that use for the tip there just to protect the screen while the metal part transmit the static current to activate the screen? If it is, can we get a copper or metal rod and cover it with form, or cloth or any other material and use it to write on the screen?

Engineers, professors, gurus to comments, please!
