It's another company like Worldex, called Global Securities just be careful, it's the same group of people using different names. They will try to make you sign another agreement to pay more money again. Just be careful.

Anyone know of this number 65353214.

I think is a scam, becareful. A company that claim can help recover the money.

Anyone went up to their office at OCBC building?

NOTE : This has been repeated many times in this thread … DO NOT pay more money in the hope of reclaiming your money. It’s just another ploy to milk more money out from you.

Hi, I receive the mail from ITRA too. Below are the details. They will sponsor FREE ipad for those who go for the meetup. But will need to pay 90 bucks for the courier charges.

Any feedback on this company?

The Asian Fair Trade Advisory Group has agreed to sponsor the International Timeshare Refund Action Group (ITRA) on the understanding of the following:
ITRA has agreed that at no time will it deem necessary to mention, solicit or charge any fee for any services of legal action taken either in advance or after trail, be it successful or unsuccessful, from you the complainant/s. ITRA’s legal fees will be recovered arising from favorable judgment against the respondent, which in this case will be the timeshare organizations in question.
Claimants should provide government recognized identification for each member on the documents. Acceptable identification would be one of the following for each party:
Driving Licence; Military ID; Passport or NRIC.
All parties mentioned as members must be present to agree the statement of facts and sign the claim form in order to qualify for free representation.
Minimal documentary proof of timeshare ownership/holiday club membership will be required. Minimum contract value (this is the value of the agreement purchased with the original timeshare organisation) to qualify for sign up is currently set at $6,000SGD, irrespective of full payment being made.
The Asian Fair Trade Advisory Group offers a tablet computer in return for your valuable time spent in consultation with us to sign up for the class action litigation order on a limited basis only to assist with the preliminary stage of signing the first 1000 ‘qualified’ complainants. Qualifications have been mentioned in whole herein these terms printed clearly above. No other requirement is necessary. The tablet computer is FREE of procurement costs, however a small delivery charge of eighty nine dollars will be required to borne by the recipient for packaging and insured delivery by secure courier. You will receive a redemption voucher upon successful signing of complaint form. You may request delivery anywhere in Singapore, either am or pm delivery Monday to Saturday. See details on valid redemption form.
Please note that the role played by ITRA and AFTAG is strictly limited to its mission of recovering monies paid and exploring the possibility of compensation should judgment favour so. For any other enquiries separate consultation can be made available upon request.

go file in small claims tribunals

Hi everyone, I encourage those who have been duped by these companies to press a claim against them in the Small Claims Tribunals. The court ruled in my favour and I was able to get my SGD 1k back. It took a long while (no thanks to CASE, it took very long before I realised I'm not going anywhere that route) but at least I was able to get it back. I'm not gonna get my lost time back (as well as fees I paid, and all the hassles of going to/from the court arbitration, hearings, etc.) but at least I won.

The more you let this go, the more brazen these companies will become in their techniques to dupe you of your money.

To all those who have been conned/scammed by these scums, same advice as cruizer_ph, go to Small Claims Tribunal (SCT). I just won against Colonial Strategies (CS) in SCT this afternoon.

I went to CASE initially, but it dragged on for 2 months, during this period CS refuse to liase with me directly, preferring to go through CASE. CASE was essentially just a middleman, (and a toothless tiger) they can't help me at all, & keep urging me to try to compromise & just get back 50% of my money.

I went to SCT, the first two consultation, is basically mediate & ask us to settle. CS offer to settle by giving me back 50% but I never relent. The third time at SCT was a hearing before a judge. The judge presided in my favor & CS was order to pay me back 100%

When I first posted here (& other places) asking for fellow victims to meet up & discuss our strategies, several people emailed me saying how they can help me reclaim my money back. My advice is to ignore these people.

These people are another bunch of conmen saying they can help you sell off your existing timeshare/trade in your timeshare etc, all they are trying is to sucker you into another trap. Some will claim they are from law firms & can offer legal aid & get your money back through legal means & they specialise in this cases blah blah.

You DO NOT need lawyers to go SCT, & NO lawyers can represent you in SCT. You only need to pay min $10 to fight your case at SCT.

Scammed by Garraway

We still have outstanding payment with Garraway. Is there anybody in same boat - what kind of action has Garraway taken to claim outstanding from buyer?

Anybody successfully claim back paid amount from Garraway?

Is there really nothing we can do to get back at these people?:s27:

No experience with Garraway, but from this link http://news.xin.msn.com/en/singapore/article.aspx?cp-documentid=4158588 it would seem they can no longer sell vacation packages. (not sure if there is any aftermath to that episode)

You may want to read through your contracts for any loopholes, do own homework, check SCT website whether you still can claim against them (When did you sign up). Any penalties for defaulting on payment (or just ignore the payment see what action they take). Most important did you take any action to cancel your package?

Why pay for something when you don't use/need.

More Scams

Just for awareness, think Landmark & Deloitte and Global Securities (or ITRA / Concorde) are from the same 'gang'. Even the folders for their contracts are exactly the same! Do not get involve anymore. :s16:

Asia Travel Club and ATC pte ltd

Got a few phone calls from HERALD INTERNATIONAL or something. Very persistent in arranging an appointment for me to go down.

Here is what they claim:

ATC will be raising the annual fee by alot, and very soon. They can help me go to the developer to claim I was decieved into buying this membership and get something back.

Any ATC victims received calls from them?

end of story is: never go to CASE, their inaction or even worse, dubious 'advice' only serves to harm you the scam victim more.

SCT looks like the tiger for Consumers now.
$10 fee is very affordable to recover the hundreds and thousands scammed off.

So far success rate seems to be high. Personally I known 6 persons who went to SCT to claim against a time share company. 5 got their money back.

anyone from discovery9? can i check with you guys if it's actually legitimate enough to book hotel rooms from them? because i might be getting hotel bookings thru someone who is a member with them, thanks alot!

I'm new in this forum.

I brought the membership from discovery 8 abt 3 year ago. Pay about 8k uptodate but still got balance of 9k which we need to pay up. Discovery 8 did call us end of last yr to ask for the balance payment which my hubby just ignore them.

My hubby got a call frm Elite Networks Corporation Pte Ltd located at Ngee Ann City and ask both of us to drop by to have a chat n see wat they can help us to cancel the contract plus they only will charge us btw 5% to 8% of wat we claim back.

We did went down to meet then on 30/4/11 to have a chat. My hubby thk tis company is another scam as the location they have seem temp.. Can just **** out of the location less than 1hrs. So we did question their background on the company. After all the bull****, the person in charges explain to us on the background of the timeshares.

They told us Discovery 8 is just a marketing company which there will be a devolopers. The money which we pay up are entrusted to a Trustees. So the amount at the Trustees which we can received if we end the contract will be much more then wat we are paying now.

They just need abt 30mins of our time to check on the status of our contract. Finally we give the go ahead to have them check on the contract and the status of it.

End of the 30mins, she told us the value of the contract is worth $29k which we will only pay $18k for it but there is not Trustees. No Trustees mean the $$ parked are like in no where. We are not able to do anything abt it. She comment this is the first time she seems such special case wth no trustees so she have to ask her manager abt it..

When her manager come in after awhile, the manager just told us.. our cases already have abt 10 customer facing tis type of no trustee issue n they already help them to submit the case as a group of 10. He can only give us advise to find a lawyer on our own to have the contract terminated.

Due to we are not gng to pay up the balance, our contract with the developers has been suspended and pending for legal case.

I would like to seek advise from those ppl who has been conned to buy discovery 8 timeshare to see how to do about terminated the contract. If able to recover the $$ which we pay up so far will b good. If cant, just wan to terminated tis stupid contract.

Please email me at hslim780 hotmail com

Thanks.

Elite Networkz Corporation Pte Ltd, Ngee Ann City Tower B

Hi Shanice78,

Elite Networkz Corp is another reload company in S'pore trying to scam the monies out of you again. There are no such thing as recovery of monies and value of your Timmeshare memberships.Just continue to use the service from Discovery 8. Take it as lesson learnt. Please everyone, do not be cheated by these Reload companies in S'pore again. They closed down after opening up 1 year plus and they will change the name of the company just like Colonial Strategies and Beaufort Park at Tong Building now had change name to Ferguson Lang & Co at OCBC Center building.

Do not be cheated of your hard earned monies. There are no such thing as recovery of TIMESHARE. They will ask to pay upfront payments again and nothing will be done to your membership as these con-man will use your monies for their personal usage only. Please be smart my frens.
