Anyone experienced spotty detection of external devices like USB thumbdrives and MicroSD cards? I had to power on/off on several occasions just so that a thumbdrive or MicroSD is detected. For those with the keyboard dock, the touchpad can be really annoying when your palm rub against it while typing, it causes the cursor to fly around and you end up typing elsewhere in the text field! But overall, no regrets in getting the TF with dock after asking Sammy to go fly layang!

The Micro SD card works fine, just have not tested with a thumbdrive through the USB ports. I usually don't use the touchpad though cause it yeah, I tend to touch it accidentally. It is also easier to scroll on the touch screen from my opinion. ;)

Harvey Norman is selling this tablet at $659.

Went to ask Carrefour at Suntec. The salesman there told me that they don't sell tablets. :s22:

Another thing is that the salesman at Harvey Norman told me that the USB port on the keyboard dock cannot read data from thumb drives when plugged into it. He claims that the USB port can support devices like mouse only, due to the OS. Is this correct? :s22:

TIA for replies, comments. :)

My dock can reads thumbdrive, usb hdd and also a ps3 joystick. This saleman must have his head check :D

I am interested if there is a MO. Btw, is there a catch to hold the transformer in place once inserted into the slot. I am afraid that it can easily slip out) and falls.

How much do you think it is approximately after shipping?

If i didnt see wrong, the shipping is free although stated takes about 15 to 20 days (via China Mail). For those that wants faster shipping, they can arrange with the seller. I did see good and also bad feedback from the shipment.

There are actually 2 posts on the ebay (from the same seller) and for different pricing. One was S$30 and one was about S$36 if i am not wrong.

Only worry is that is the quality good (although it looks "nice" on the picture".

Yah im worried about quality too. But the advantage over the original Asus sleeve is that you can charge with the flap closed due to the charging port cut out.
I checked with seller and basically the quotation is close to the selling price but comes with DHL shipping (which will be fast, around 3-5 days) for 5 pieces or more.
Anyone keen?

Breakdown of quotation:

US$21 per case
US$3 per screen protector
US$32 for DHL shipping of 5 pieces (~2kg)

total per pc: ~US$30 (inclusive of DHL)

I came across the review of the Asus case (rubberlike material) as well. I think this is slightly different from the Asus case.
The review of the Asus original case is here:

Hopefully this is different from the Asus original case, thus the pro's and cons may be different.

If its the same, I will find the charging port more useful than the microsd slot. I am pretty sure i will use the charging port more frequently than the microsd slot (which to me is just for expansion).

nobody know abt it. :D:D:D

as it is not even released :s13::s13::s13::s13:

If i am not wrong, Asus Italy website may have a price. That may give some indication of what to expect, but then again, Asus prices are sometimes screwed (i.e., opposite prices between US, and Asia and even between Malaysia and Singapore). Not sure whats their pricing stategy. Perhaps US = for volume (thus lower price) and Asia = premium prices? No idea.

how much does a TF - 3G+WIFI costs now?

Guess it will add 150 to 200 bucks more to the price tag. To be honest, its not worth it considering u can tether using a smart phone. 3G also significantly decrease battery life, plus its terribly slow.
