We have updated our available price plans. The fibernet 60 and 150 plans are no longer available.

Also we have removed the option for users to purchase the Zhone modem.

The zhone modem will now remain the property of Viewqwest. The zhone modem is now available for rental at $5.35/mth. This way users need not worry anymore about what happens if the device fails after 12 months.

Those who have purchased the modem will have their warranty covered for 24 months after which they can extend the warranty by paying for the rental fee.

We hope this change will reduce the initial high cost to sign up with Viewqwest. Please do drop by our Roadshow starting on Monday at Funan.

Hi ViewQwest, since your plans have been updated, appreciate if you can clarify my question again.

If i were to take the no contract plan and then switch to the 12 mths IPTV package, will i get to enjoy the free Zhone rental(since there's now no upfront purchase required)? Cheers!

There is no longer an upfront purchase required for the no contract plan. The zhone modem is on rental.

Fibernet 60 is not offered anymore?

Are your intending to offer any lower price plans in the future?

We are moving away from the lower price plans as we would like to focus on premium services.

Sorry, you misunderstood my question.

For the 100 + Voice + IPTV 12 months contract bundle, there is "Free Modem rental" stated inside the form. If i were to switch from a no contract plan to this bundle, will i get to enjoy the free rental as stated?

Yes the modem rental is built into that plan.

if those who already bought the modem terminate after 12 months isn't VQ putting a 50% penalty on the value of the modem on this group of people now that the modem can be rented for non contract plans? Furthermore the modem is more or less useless if out of VQ. :(

Agreed, that penalized the 'pioneer' users that support VQ. Should convert all to rental to be fair and the refunded $$ should be use to offset next month subscription/rental until zero balance...

We don't want to be penalizing our existing customers. Let us work out something where there is some refund on the unused months should you terminate the service with us.

Woohoo... Finally... "Premium Services" is one segment that mainstream RSPs can't offer. That's one great way to distinct from other RSPs.

Hi VQ, I'm currently on the 100 plan contract of 1 year. Can I upgrade to your new promotion? The $65 plan: 100, voice and iptv

Thanks

Hope VQ understand that $400+ 1st month initial cost are pretty steep to swallow, if given the choice initially for rented option for non contract plans, who will even want to buy the modem. :(

Do I hv to resent my application now tt u are doing modem rental rather than purchase outright?

I signed up the 100Mbps plan in Feb, on 1 year contract, with One Voice. Bought the Zhone too. Two days ago, I found out that VQ has introduced the 100+Voice+IPTV bundle. I thought that was a good value proposition by VQ, so I called up the customer service to enquire, only to be told brashly that "it's for new customers only". Well, as an early supporter of VQ, I have been penalised. Not a big deal, but a real shame. And I thought only the Orange/Red/Green camps treat existing customers like suckers.

I also have the same question. VQ already scheduled installation at end of this month. VQ should immediately clarify on this issue.

Frankly, I'm surprised by VQ's lack of foresight in implementing such changes that directly affect the users. If I hadn't visited this thread or VQ's website, I wouldn't have known about the new modem rental arrangement.

just wanna check, for the freedom VPN, does the "tv box" come with it, or must we buy separately? i feel safer plugging it into my TV and use a remote to choose channels.

me too 1st bill 500+ for a 200mbps no contract plan, and with VQ advance billing system, in total billed for 2.5mths + reg fee + activation fee + modem on 1st bill.

Since VQ say it is to help ease the high start up cost, VQ should also help those who have already signed up and billed on 1st May and those before.

No media player is bundled with the Freedom VPN service. IT is just for the VPN service only.

Existing users can switch to the new plan. Please PM me your details and I will get our customer service to follow up with you.
