Hi Bros
My M1 black ONT is in the living but my two desktop pcs in the room is 45 feet away. Should I buy a router or repeater to hook on the ONT? What should I take note before buying? Looking at TP Link products and any recommendations.

I am new in this. Could someone guide me on the set-up procedure?

Thanks

Hello,

When is this promotional offer ending please ?
If it ends before 1st week of Jan, do you think M1 will be doing another one for Jan/Feb ?
And last question, can I subscribe for Fiber access with M1 while still being contracted with Starhub for normal cable broadband ?

No idea when promo is ending.
Jan/Feb unlikely as March would be the IT Show 2013.
Yes possible, its 2 different technology. No issue with both connection concurrently.

I use my old router Linksys WRT54G. Connect from room wireless average is 10mbps. Is this acceptable? Or should I get a new router instead.

The WRT54G although old & reliable, will not give you the best desired speed.
Recommend you endure a while, wait for the next pc show, or your annual bonus if you are working :p

I have the white ONT. If I recontract, will I get the black ONT? The black ONT comes with built-in digital voice support right?

average to US server usually around this range. dont think there is any ISP at the moment that can provide anything more than 8Mbps (i think so)

Some sharing of Asus RT66U: Its a good router ($209) that you can purchase from M1 if you sign up fibre broadband. Usual Price at $289.

to clear some doubts why i recommend people getting the Asus RT66U, my wireless using the a old Linksys WRT160N result is about 25Mbps Download & 20Mbps Upload at M1 100Mbps Fibre plan.

My result using Asus RT66U wireless 5m away from router from line of sight:

My result using Asus RT66U wireless 7m away from router in closed door bedroom:

My result using Asus RT66U wireless 6m away from router in closed door toilet:

My result using Asus RT66U (wired) direct to Router:
