can a noob join here?

Im thinking of learning how to trade in the sgx. Have not formally traded money but the past few tries with trade simulations have gotten me a bit of positivity.

Some question on information gathering.
1) How do you get fundamental information about the company before investing? Now I have access to school library and resources like onesource where I usually get info about the ratios of company, its competitors and industry average. But when I graduate I have no idea where to get such info already.

2) Is there a good website to learn about the different technical indicators? How to use them and also how to read about them? What are the more popular ones?

3) Is there a website that states the analyst recommendations for the day/week? I usually see those in the morning on CNA but can't seem to find a website for it.

- when you say you want to trade, you trade base on short term price discrepancy base on oversold/overbought condition or momentum.

- when you say you want to invest, you trade base on a mid term view and so you look at the present ratios of company, its competitors and industry average and see how its earning will improve in the long/short run base on their operations procedure. how do you know their earning has improved? wait for their q1,q2,q3,q4 earnings announcement and if you guess is right, price will go up.

- analyst recommendation? check up this Research - The Society of Remisiers (Singapore)

In US, we can see a rather obvious market/sector rotation within a year.

Was wondering in Sg, would there be such a case? So far it's been penny run, anyone care to enlighten me?

We rotate from power of CD to power of trading.....=:p:D

power of CD still the best. No risk and just wait only. I only wish I got half that portfolio of yours. Haha.. You're still my inspiration to long useful counters. But your counters now all so expensive :( I peasant can't afford.

errrr. the dividends declared is in THAI BAHT. not SGD.

Please do not calculate it by just dividing by last close price.
