Yesterday i recon jumping from adsl to fibre. 200Mpbs fibre + mobile broadband 4G (1gb) + 10% hp bill discount (1 line) + homeline. I opt for reliable analog line for my old age parent so if there is power failure, modem spolit or network down, our relatives or family members can still manage to reach them or vice versa. They dun carry mobile phone. Analog line is free incoming but there is a charge for outgoing. They very seldom call out so not much of a issue. Free installation but registration must pay. My monthly plan is $46.64 and installation date is 27 Jun.

just to check, currect Singtel setup, digital voice connection to the ONT unit?

My initial setup was connected to the Singtel modem. That was 2 years ago. Recently, I faced some problem. Called up and they switched to the ONT directly. No problem to date.

How is it calculated to be 46.64?

Anyone knows if the 10% mobile subscription discount is applicable on CIS plan?

How much is the registration, btw? Some have it waived and others not?

Nope, it's not applicable on the CIS plan. CIS plans do not enjoy discounts as they are already discounted.

Registration fee is $53.50. Waiver is dependent on case by case basis.

the singtel CSO at causeway point calculated for me that its cheaper on CIS than the 10% monthly mobile discount as CIS discount is 20%...can't have double discount but hp price is extra $50.

let them know that this is the nominated line and you will enjoy free handset upgrade every 12 months with no penalty. registration for CIS is FREE when you port over from personal plan (any telco) to CIS plan.

dun be too happy 1st...just make sure you note of any outstanding from your existing contract with either telcos (just go to your telco and ask if you terminate now, what is the penalty. they will inform you on the spot...previously mine was with green telco...many dead spots at my house...that's why switch over to red)

They offer 4G mobile broadband but gives a normal size sim card. When all 4G devices is either using micro sim or nano sim. Was advice need to pay to change to micro or nao sim. Anyone gets micro or nano sim by default?

Its not like everyone wants the MioTV or Family+ also.
Can ask them to stop bundling it into their plans?

100% agreed. Disgusted at how Singtel forcing customer to get MioTv with their bundle.

Singtel force my house to have 2 MioTV bundle as my dad was made to convert to MioTv plan from his old Mio Plan, 2 years ago when he wanted to re-contract SingTel doesn't provide any Mio Plan but provide MioTV + additional Singtel mobile. My house missed the free fibre open up by HDB thus been made to sign up for 200mbps fibre bundle ($96/mth) from Singtel in order to get their free installation of fibre net. Don't want to take the MioTv but tech man refuse to install if i didn't allow them to install MioTv. They told me, i can simply unplug after the tech man left my hse if i really don't want to use 2nd MioTv box. Parents only watch SVC and Chanel 8/U thus our MioTv is just collecting dust.

Singtel now re-introduce Mio Plan but was for cable not fibre net. Didn't re-contract cos Singtel promotion and current deal is very disappointing can't wait to get rid of the MioTv box at home soon.

I actually don't mind the MioTV, as I was signing for my mother, I took the 100Mbps TV Bundle $69.90 and also got the Alienware package (add $55 per month). But intend to sell the Alienware, if sell ~ I dunno just for calculation purpose $1800 that's -$75 per month so effectively the MioTV Bundle costs $49.90.

Currently, my mother's home using M1 Fibre BB, to recontract I have to opt for 200Mbps from M1 cost $39 (without any TV package), so for ~$10 per month I get my mother 54+ TV Channels. In case people asks why she needs Fibre BB in first place? my siblings and I use Facetime to chat with her frequently. Also, when we come visit we have Internet, so 100Mbps or 200Mbps is not a problem, in fact 50Mbps if cheaper I will opt for it but having more TV Channels is a plus as currently she only has on Air channels.

It is a matter of the target audience the plan is for, one needs to choose something that fits your requirements, for this case fits into my requirement very nicely.

FYI, I use Purple Fibre BB for my home, so I am not pro-SingTel, I would have continued using M1 but sees this SingTel Plan has better overall value at this present Show.

I dunno, marked it down from listed in SingTel $2400.

I think that seems a realistic figure but it might be lower but still thinks there will be savings, so I figured paying ~$10-$13 per month for 54+ Channels MioTV seems quite a favorable deal.
