For banks such as Citi, UOB and OCBC, the available credit limit will increase immediately if payment is made online via debiting the current/savings account or through cash deposit to the card account via the Cash Deposit Machine.

took pictures of citibank cash deposit machine-
seems there are 2 types (look for "make payment(local cards only)).

I called DBS up to get it cancelled. Should be ok as long as you haven't collected it yet.

No, you get DBS points with this card which can be traded in for miles. So technically this card is no different from other DBS CC, you just get a better earn rate, that's all. You still can use the points to trade for vouchers and the like. Basic cards get 1 DBS point for $5 spend, DBS altitude get 3/4 points for $5 spend so just take it as 3x, 4x points.

Taxes yes,
but overseas spend? What do you mean?
Citi PM 2 miles/SGD while this Altitude only up to 1.6 miles/SGD.

Sorry, i mean during promotion time its 2.5 miles/SGD. For everything else, you can use UOB amex and ANZ travel.

And the 1.6miles/SGD is only on the amount spent from $2001 and above onwards. Everything before is 1.2miles/SGD.

This card also doesn't seem to differentiate between overseas and local spend. Unless there's a promotion.

But is still a good all around card.
