My Amoi 26 inch LCD tv almost 9 years already...yesterday night can on...but on screen menu all no response...only after 15mins warm up then work again...guess time is almost up

redish screen could be cause by the panel or CCFL tube, these are usually not worth repair due to cost.

my 1 and a half years old Panasonic TH-L32C3S going to die. these few days the TV screen keep auto switch off by itself. what is wrong? warranty just over

My LG plasma tv now the LCD screen totally cannot power on but got sound coming out. Worth repair and roughly how much it cost? I don't think is LCD panel spoil because the lcd panel just suddenly can't power uP

The pictures in my Samsung LED TV are in negative. Suspecting that the fault lies on the t-con board. Anyone able to help me repair for a fee? Thank you

My samsung 60" spoilt after 2 weeks. It was ok when the technician came to repair. After 1 week, it happened again (auto on and off). The technician came again to repair, i told them to change the main board. After changing, all is well until hell breaks lose again.

When they opened the TV, it only consist of 3 parts: LCD panel, power board and main board. One of the technicians even teased me that i spent few thousands to buy 3 boards. Repairing is easy as 1, 2, 3. Unscrew back cover, take out 1 board, put in new board. Ta da, the tv works again.

In contrast to my old hitachi plasma which lasted for 5yr+2mth and rip in Jan13, without a single breakdown!

Luckily i hv 3+2 yr warranty.

too popular QC drops.so far Samsung quality is disappointing

don't waste ur money to repair not worth. Power consumption is high too.

I got a Philips LCD TV bought in 2010, 47PFL5609 (2009 model) when power on, all white screen appears with a thin horizontal line on top...called a TV repair guy and he said no more spare parts..is it worth to repair ?...thanks.

In the old days, the box tv(CRT) is easy to repair during 1900 and early 2000 era. The components are easy to buy at sl tower. But when SMD technology gradually implements, the old tech is getting lesser and so am I. I don do any liao after 2005.

Now the board just like your PC mthbrd, sandwitch in layers. A few months ago, my viewsonic 27" monitor suddenly couldn't power on and I @#$. Decided to open up and see if it can be repaired. After opened up, it has 2 brd only; mthbrd & power supply. I checked the ps and it has 5v stdby. Likely it's still ok but the mthbrd? There are LSIs around and a lot of test points, so I just covered it back and called the service center. Luckly I still have a warranty and sure enough, the mthbrd has been replaced when I asked.

Got a LG LED TV in 2009, no more warranty.

Flickering started few mths back and read somewhere online, off the TV and remove the plug overnight. Tried and resolved the issue, no problem until last Sunday, the flickering came back and this time even worse, screen will go blank on and off.

Have gotten a new TV but thinking to repair it and use in room if it does not cost too much.

My brother bought the LG 55 ledtv during recent IT show use for only 18 days uplorry liao, can power on but no display, got sound...I think if tml the LG technician come down to fix and refuse to one to one he sure screw him upside down

2nd hand

My 42 LCD Samsung display was working fine till it just completely blacked out. The on/off light is still there but no picture. Had it for 5 years now. Have considered my repair options but working out to be a little to expensive. Decided to buy a a new tv

Any suggestions on where I can sell a 2nd hand tv and recouperate something? Or what to do with your 'busted' tv's?
