If that's the case, then the problem could be common among all sets. :(

Looking at the pics, I think it is not a deal breaker. But then again, I can understand how you feel. :o

yes, if the system is less than 1.5K then ok. We paid 2K+. :s8:

Sometimes the money cant buy perfection. As the owner of a Aftershock X15 i have a keyboard whose coloured backlighting is dimmer on the windows key and backslash key compared to the other keys, but all the keyboards in the current batch are apparently manufactured like that, so it can't be helped either.

Guess all these brightness on keyboards are not perfect.
But on my previous Lenovo Y580 and Y500, they are perfect. Lenovo QC is better? :)

Ok, so we just make do with the KB?
I am ok with it as I would seldom play in the dark. They're just extra feature for me. what's more important is the performance.

lol, now I found that my desktop with a single ssd with Win 7 boot up is slow. Considering getting another 128GB to run Raid 0

Innergie products break down easily. Had a few of their adapters in the past. All dead. Think their quality isn't that good.

Not the best pic I know, but yeah, the same keys are not lit, and on top of that, altho I chose the lightest whitish blue colour, the extreme left bottom corners showed greenish.... lol.

I don't own this but was reading the thread. Just my 2 cents observation: some fn keys are lit while others are not. The reason is these fn keys hv dual purpose...like to toggle airplane mode...(I saw an aeroplane symbol, I assume it is).

Saw the GS70 in person today at funan, man it really does look bigger up close. 17 inches is still 17 inches after all. Couldn't examine the keyboard for lighting defects though, haha

Think these blind spots are a result of trying to cut down use of LEDs underneath the keyboard. Apart from the Fn key, the light on my X17 is pretty well distributed. The keyboard backlight is most even on my Samsung Chronos 7.

Sad to say that this might be the dealbreaker. People have been saying this laptop is not "truly portable," sound system is not that good... sound brings out the soul of a laptop as I would call it. Even more sad how MSI downgrade the audio system from the best to mediocore at best.

Total and utter rubbish. A laptop's soul has nothing to do with sound, and if you are looking for great sound you should not look at any laptop.

Sorry, sound and size are both determining factor for me. When I look for a laptop that costs over 1 grand USD, I desire the systems to be well designed. Not everyone has that much money to toss away and feeding the CEOs wallet fat. Though I realize nothing is perfect, I resent the fact about this and that defects. No, I am not going to spend on something that is costly yet lacks important aspects. A lot of laptops sound very, very bad, and I desire at least one, just one that sounds decent. I have done my homework. It is my own opinion, not yours. On top of that, I have heard other laptops that has a lot more better sounding system. If you look through my posts, I mention one that has the same height as this model and employs a pretty good sound. A deal breaking factor means a deal breaking factor. No more, no less.

You keep your own opinion, and I am entitled to mine as well, but you aren't helping out the community here. I was simply stating mine IMHO, thats why I mentioned "As I would call it." For future references, please try not to comment on other people's post with aggressiveness, trying to find flaws and assault people with your own logic. It is very rude and irrespectable to others, especially with someone with a "deluxe member" status as you, or whatever that is.
