Hi guys,
I'm a new bee.Wondering if you guys could help me out.Someone from C & W associates call me claiming they are a representative for HCAP to assist in terminating the contract of the timeshares own by Singaporean.At the same time a refund will be given depending on the type of timeshare program taken.
I've read in the forum of the many scams and worried that this C & W associates is another one of them.Anyone have come across with these guys?Any experience,do share.I'm hoping that we could help out one another not to be scam yet to another con artist.Thanks.

I also have the same experience but from a different company, so learning from experience , I ask them for their company registration no and said that I will need to check with CASE and police friend. After hearing, they said that they can only tell me when I go down, but I insisted and they just drop the call and never called back. From a lot of feedback, there is no such buy back company in singapore ,they are only trying to scam from our emotional side of us. You might want to try this on the company .if they are real, they should hide anything. Just to share and hope it help. From what I know now, there is not much success story on refunding or cancelling of timeshare. Lets pray hard that they went bust and we will be free.

Make police report and appointment to go down to CAD file complain as well. Request them to investigate. I have done both. Which of you has done as well?

For cases involving CHE, they just advised me to go SCT.

Have no idea what is Desa Amanah Ltd but when did you sign and when did you request to terminate? I would say in your case, everything is gone.

Is your contract the Hotel Advantage program from CHE? If so you can write to all the mentioned "Hotel Partners" and see if they have dealing with CHE. If they disclaim everything then CHE is lying when they sell you this product. It is non-existence this so call business relationship. File a Police report and appeal against the ruling if in your disfavor. See your MP and tell them your story and ask for their advice and assistance if needed. Hi, anyone know this company? I received a call from them saying that he could help to terminate the membership. I only require to pay about 5k lawyer fee and he will prepare all the paperwork and book the lawyer date plus going to court.

I signed up the package with CHE in May 2012 with a deposit of 1k as they insisted the minimum amount have to be a thousand. I didn't noticed any or did not managed to find out that CHE is actually a timeshare company (In fact I don't even know what is a timeshare company) and it only highlighted to me in Aug last year that they have shifted to Anson Rd. I quickly emailed to them but no respond and I thought I would just forgo my deposit and that's it...

but recently they send a letter to warn me that they would be taking legal action against me if I don't pay up the full amount as a penalty because I did not pay up the 2nd down payment.

Reported to CASE and they told me to send them a notice of cancellation to cancel officially. So i sent an official letter for notice of termination but now there is this group of debt collector calling me to say they have been engaged to collect the money or they will sue me to court.

Anyway I went to meet up with the debt collector and he promised he can request for termination of contract with nobody harnessing my family if I agreed to pay CHE halve of the outstanding payment which is about 5k. Not willing to give in but they just emphasized that I'd definitely lose the court case since I signed on the contract no matter. Feeling threatened and lost...can anyone advice what I should do?

Actually u need to ignore them, maybe change number or install auto reject software on ur mobile. They cant take any legal since any legal document pertaining down payment is forfeited if u cant fullfil the term and condition. Just take example when u buy a house..even u have already sign and agree to pay, if u cant pay they also wont take any legal action against u, but forfeit any previous payment.

You not owe them, but they cheat u. Thats my opinion only

has anyone heard of IRC (International Refund Center ), they claimed that they hv helped timeshare members got their money.
Is this Khoo & Krishnan Associates previously lacated at Chinatown Point ?

IRN called me and assured me that there was no termination fee. When I went down, they wanted me to pay $12k initially and reduced to $6k. I said no and left. Next thing, I went to CASE. They helped me wrote a letter to request for termination. A few weeks later, IRN sent me a termination letter via CASE.

I am out of this ****. But IRN still call me know and then and tell me to go to their office to get refund. I told them they had sent me a termination letter and they can talk to CASE. Immediately, they hang up the phone. Another operator will still call a few weeks later.

Nowadays, I recognize their phone number and refused to pick up their phone.

To all timeshare victims. Please be advised that YOUR TIMESHARE HAS ZERO TRANSFER VALUE!!!!. THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN GET A REFUND!!! These refund companies will claim that they will engage lawyers to fight for you.

Step 1: You need to pay legal and admin fees ranging from $5k to $10k. This fee is only for the lawyers to negotiate with the timeshare developer to terminate the contract only, no refund.

Step 2: If you want to get a refund, pay the lawyers another $10k to $20k to bring the developer to court.

Be warned that when you go to court, you actually have a higher chance to lose than win. But you still have to pay the lawyers and still honour the contract with the timeshare developers.

In many cases, these timeshare developers are located overseas in the Bahamas or some offshore countries. You need to locate the developers first before you can bring them to court!

The legal firms may be genuine but these refund companies are scam. IF you look and research the boss behind these refund companies, they are the same scums who set up the timeshare marketing companies.

See how they are scamming money?! First, they made you sign a contract without exit clause and suck you a large sum of money. Then they open up another refund company to help you get back the timeshare money, but you need to pay for legal and admin fees. This is the second round of money scamming.

Don't fall into these traps!!!! Your money is hard-earned. Try to terminate the timeshare contracts with CASE help. I only paid CASE membership and got the IRN timeshare terminated at zero fees. Forget about refund. Take it as an expensive lesson learnt.

Go to MTI website to read what the government is doing to clamp down on these timeshare scam companies. Though still in the midst of consultation and implementation, I believe its good for all to read and understand the consumer rights.

CASE can help but cannot guarantee the success of negotiations.

Don't believe that you can get refunds. I had the experience when I thought I could, I got sucked into a 2nd timeshare scam.

Today, I am out of all these mess. I lost all my money without any refund, not even one cent. However, I have peace now and not worry about the liabilities.

I got help from CASE to successfully negotiate and get IRN to terminate my timeshare contract without any additional fees paid. But no refund.

I got help from RDO and Hutchinson Trust (through emails) to negotiate with developer for HolidayPlus sold by Worldex. HolidayPlus developer sent a termination letter via their local rep (Asia Pacific Reservations Pte Ltd) to terminate the timeshare agreement. No refund too.

Refund companies and timeshare companies may be (and highly likely) managed by the same people. Do you think they are really out to help you terminate the contract when they are the ones selling the lousy timeshare contracts to you?

Think about it. Money lost is lost. Why spend more money to recoup the losses when refund will never happen?

There is no such thing as a refund or buy-back.
They are just out to milk more money from you.

Period.

And if someone call you about timeshare, you can either:
1. ask them to F off, tell them their kids next time no asshole
2. or just hang up
