On wifi? How did u achieve 200 from 100 ?

I am always on wired connection to Linksys EA6300 router.

After 9 months using 100Mbps, I faced unstable erratic high latency spike with two IP addresses that are crucial and M1 could not resolve it. Therefore, M1 technical officer suggested to switch from the 100Mbps to 200Mbps for testing at the moment. This is day 2 on 200Mbps. The unstable erratic high ping spike is still there after the upgraded bandwidth.:s8:

I will need to get back to them next week for follow up and the digital phone is still not working from the upgraded bandwidth.

Here is the latest 200Mbps speed test (wired).

how did u manage to convince them to use back the same port?
I got mine done this way too.

If you are facing capacity issues with Opennet in your area, call in 1627. Tell them that you have been waiting for the new ONT installation since xx (mine was since end January). Inform them that you understand that to your understanding there is no need to wait for Port 2 activation for the new ONT to come in (if they deny, point them here to see the real case scenarios). They will most likely check it with their backend and tell you this is a "special arrangement".

For my case, my contract was helping me as well as my contract will end in Dec 2013. I gave them the additional condition that since they told me my old hardware with M1 cannot support your higher plans now which is at the same price as what I paid for my existing 100Mbps plan, I will reconsider my decision to continue with M1. Viola, 1 week later they called me to offer me this scheme.

The only downside... Please prepare your own backup connection if you intend to do this as your connection will temporary be disconnected for a few hours before the appointment to facilitate this swap/transition. The process after that is seamless. The installer came in, dropped the ONT at my place, connect it up, called backend to proceed with the config and I am up and running within 30mins on the NEW ONT. The installer will collect back all old hardware as well.

Trust me, I can feel the difference in performance. I think the main bulk of performance gain is from the removal of the Huawei RG as a NAT device and hook it up directly to my own router.

Yo can share how far is your router at your living room to your room wireless adapter? 100mbps wireless is very good speed. I can only get 30-40mbps max and that is only during off peak when alot ppl sleeping like 1am to 5am time. Other time is like 8mbps to 15mbps wireless 15m distance away from router.

10m away. i using 5ghz setting for wireless. set 40mhz and use n only at wireless setting.

There is another matter that I just noticed when I made do without the white RG (Huawei HG256) for the digital voice line, that is I no longer is able to use the 1595 services.

UPDATE: My M1 digital line is able to use the 1595 services now. Just found out today.

Wonder why I was not to use it earlier...

Currently on 200mbps M1 Fibre optics.

When I was on Wi-fi in my room, away from the router, I was able to achieve 25mbps download speed.

However, when I used the Aztech Homeplug HL115EP, via wired connection, I get:

But the best would still be direct LAN:

Would like to thank yoman8 for assisting me throughout the internet speed issue, thanks!

haiz... so many people think of homeplugs as being the same as wired connections.

homeplug IS NOT A WIRED CONNECTION...
