It seems to be a long time bug

What apps are you looking for?

Yeah I've got it as well, touchscreen isn't responsive unless I hit the power button again. It happens to me very occasionally, I think it's a GDR2 bug or something

I dont think it is a GDR2 bug. I had been using Lumia 900 until few weeks back and I always had this issue with it, but was something I could live with it.

I thought WP8 doesnt have it as I didnt face it with my L920 in last 3 weeks.

Yah, I already seen this since 820 which was on WP8. Is just annoying sometimes. I'm wondering if it is due to that the lock screen is actually "still there" but just that it is invisible? I hope someone has already reported this bug to MS and already fixed in the coming Update 3.

Thanks. Guess I'm not the only one facing this issue....

I'd encounter this once in a blue moon, usually when I didn't restart for 4-5 days with many apps in the background. It's not consistent as it's not replicable.

I usually close all apps after that.

Got it... Great that Nokia solve this quite promptly...

On another sidenote, what is the best app to use to just display the battery status on the tile? I don't need those complicated battery consumption analyzer, just see battery status on tile. Thanks!

Battery Pro+ by Wunderman Polska...
its free...

Errr... some things can't be figured out, like long-pressing the "." on the keyboard will pop up other common symbols, or tapping & dragging "&123" on the keyboard will automatically close the keyboard. Just to name a few.

PLENTY! The keyboard itself got so many goodies!

If you need to do multi-lingual, just add keyboards, there's Pinyin & handwriting keyboard even!

Then go install Translator & 必应词典。Can use camera, keyboard, speech to do translation.

Long pressing keyboard also brings up some accented characters for French or Italian or Latin characters that's mixed into English.

In Picture Hub, "add to favorite" pictures shows up in Live Tiles & Picture Hub background. Much more interesting than default.

In People Hub, add your friends or family into Group or Family Room & pin them on the Home screen to get the latest news on them without opening FB app.

Use OneNote to share shopping list with your other half even if they're using another phone OS or tablet or PC or Mac.

Pin your most frequently used Live Tiles at the TOP & BOTTOM of your Home screen to easily access your apps & info. BOTTOM because you can scroll fast & wait for it to stop.

You can scroll fast & tap to stop scrolling, then tap to open an app.

Set your regional stuff to English Singapore & Singapore Location but set your Search language to English USA so you get the more functional Bing USA page. Only thing is Local Scout has no POI in Singapore. Use Nokia Explore app for that.
