Finally received my card today after 8 weeks since sign up. :s22:

During the wait for the Frank card, I had received a call from OCBC to sign up for a bundle of cards which include the Titanium card + Easi Credit on top of the Frank card. If sign up for this bundle, will be able to receive a luggage upon using the Titanium + Frank card within the first mth.
If manage to clock 800 for the Frank card within the first mth, the luggage will be given too.
So can receive a total of 2 luggages.

Anyone else receive this info too?

Hi there, battledome64 is right. If you sign-up for the 2+1 luggage promo, you will not be eligible for the FRANK Venice luggage with $800 spend.

Just received the frank card! Immediately used it on $1000 CPF topup.... Hopefully can qualify for 6% for mth of Oct.... If got luggage bag is bonus!!

You top up with the intention to get Tax Deduction?

As such, you topped up only your Medisave account?

Because when I went to CPF site, it seems that only Medisave top up can qualify for Tax Deduction.

Hi there. The fees are:

1. 1.0% currency conversion fee
2. 1.8% administrative fee

You may like to know that for VISA/MasterCard transactions, currencies(except for US Dollars and Singapore Dollars) will be converted to US Dollars first, and then to Singapore Dollars. The exchange rates will be determined by VISA/MasterCard based on the dates of the transactions.

can please share when shopping online in USA, is it better to choose to pay in S$ or US$ for VISA/MasterCard in view of the above fees?

Power question. How does OCBC know the exchange quote to you by the merchants if you choose to pay in $S for USA merchants? Only you will know and you should do your own maths. Visa/Mastercard daily exchange rate are freely available on their websites. Use that rate + 2.8% and that's the rate you will see on your OCBC bills. For charging in SGD, you need to ask the merchant and compare yourself.

LOL always pay in merchant home currency cheaper. this kind common sense. anything non home currency means they need to hedge the exchange risk.

Ans: USD for USA cheaper

thanks, i always use home currency but reading the post about how cc companies tagged on 2.8% fee, thought it might be better to let them bill in S$ if can avoid the 2.8% fee :s13:

Hi Gin,

In that case please feedback to your telemarketer team for the misinformation that was given. My initial intention was to get the Frank card. Only upon the offer for the extra luggage given for signing the bundle then I took up the extra card.

1) what is vbox used for? you mean you use to pay your bills and get 6% rebate from frank?

2) frank seems good replacement to manhattan and one card!

3) flashpay seems good for carpark n erp!

Hi Gin,

This is not what the CSO said when he convinced me to sign up the easicredit and titanium card together with the Frank card. He said that I will get 2 luggages. I feel cheated.
