Good to know.
So it wasnt a hardware problem after all? With this rom, you dont have the screen freeze problem?? I assume you didnt send back the tablet for repair.

Recently I bought both M7 and M9 pro... I find the stock pipo ROM very laggy... just updated both to Kasty ROM... so far so good.

Before updating to Kasty ROM, my M9 pro 3G will auto shutdown whenever I am using the SIM card. And both M7 and M9 cannot connect using VPN.

After updating, the problems are solved. VPN can be used after installing TUN.KO app. So far a happy user...

the 3g problem is actually the sim card never insert properly.

i tried reinsert n its ok already...

if u have those clean vcr solution can also use to clean the 3g contact point inside using a fine toothpick/needle n some tissue (avoid get stuck inside!) as the contact might be oxidise...

Just like to check for sd card mine formated to ntfs does not seem to be recognise by pipo ... What format are you guys using for it to accepted to support large files ? Planning to copy some 1080p to try...

Did You also try other ROMs ( arctablet or Riley or others ) ; and if so , are those ROMs better because of beter AnTuTu or better possibilites ?

Though I only had it for a week, it has so far been an amazing tablet for the price..for those interested or who are looking for an alternative tablet to major global brand ones, take a look at this baby.
Here’s my review of my new toy, Pipo M7 Pro 3G….by no means is this comprehensive, or expertly done, however I will be updating as I spend more time playing with it…in fact, too much time that I am neglecting my other duties.

I am still on Pipo original stock rom..its working fine, and no problems so far.

Depends on what you need. The Pipo suits me fine in terms of functions, price, portability, but warranty may be an issue.

I am on stock kernel dated 18/8 and rom 15/8.
The pipo performs reasonly at 18500 antutu but only- from time to time - I have to reset ( once a week ... ) and am losing also -from time to time - connecting with the router . That was the reason why I contacted You as a Pro-user !

Hi,

i need help repairing my pipo m7 too.
After 2 months of use, the accelorometer (cant rotate screen) and speakers are not working.

tried to flash different ROMs, no success.
so most probably hardware issue.

anybody knows if any shops in Sim Lim repairs pipo tablets?

Update:

Recently, out of curiosity, I tried out these Pipo stock roms ( found them in Freaktab ):

1. M7pro_#70_update_OTA-20131130-v1.0.6 ...this rom comes with quick boot ( boot in 10secs vs the usual 45s )

2. M7pro#128_892_new_ui_ZH_20140219...this is latest with new UI

Other than the cosmetic changes, I found them to be quite buggy, and performance seems to be worse off...GPS affecting my Sygic app losing connection intermittently , WiFI weaker, battery life shorter.

I am now back to the Pipo Sep 2013 firmware ( been on it since it came out ), which has been the best and most stable for my tablet, ..... my Sygic navigation is back to normal, and works flawlessly without lost connection.
No problems with this tablet so far

I find this app...Infolife's App Backup & Restore very good for my non rooted tablet.. in case you want to try out other roms.
