Ok.

Anyone else can help me out? Preferably someone with something useful and relevant to my original question would be nice.
Would be helpful if u have a sample image of "60s blazer" for better understanding.

If it's "costume-like" (Austin Powers?), then try the costume rental shops around Arab Street.

If it's a regular blazer but need to have certain features that were representative of the 60s, then u need to go to a tailor with your specific requirements.

Obviously most RTW blazers will be based on more classic or contemporary cuts.

Also to add if the objective is to achieve a "loose" 60s look (e.g. u are not filming a show that needs the attire to be fully period-accurate), you may be able to achieve it thru' regular blazer but matched with use of accessories that are strong representatives of that period. Just saying.

Last option, ask around parents/grandparents if they still have old suits from 60s that they can lend u. Those will probably be the most authentic 60s blazers u can get.

Thanks. Any cheap tailors to recommend? This will probably be worn only once so I don't need the best tailor.

Heartland neighbourhood tailors maybe? I am assuming they ought to operate on a budget so should not be exp. Well within $200 for jacket. However, no guarantee they can/will do 60s blazer

Not impossible, just a different look. More sprezz I suppose.

I pair my SCs with faded ironhearts all the time.

Guys, do you know of any place where I can get a cheap 60's style blazer made? I need it for a themed photoshoot.

I would recommend buying an ultra cheap vintage one off ebay and altering it to fit. It seems wasteful to make one since you've mentioned you'll only wear it once.

Hopefully this search link works:

vintage blazer | eBay

You get the added benefit of it being much more affordable and being 100% authentic as it came from a past era.

Rough costs:
Blazer + shipping : $45
Alterations: $35 (take in waist, shorten sleeves)
Dry Cleaning: $8
All under $90

The advice was in the context of jacket/jeans for business meeting. Otherwise i guess anything goes so long as it works for u.

I think Denim Pants would be better choice then pure jeans?

QUOTE=All in a Day;82832249]Strictly speaking, i believe jeans will not fit any dress code that includes the word "business"

However in real world espec sg, "business" dress code is entirely dependent on your industry and company standards.

Quite common to see jeans allowed in daily dress code for SMEs.[/QUOTE]

So how do I look in my 60s seersucker db sports jacket?

Collected from the Chipmunk Not So Mystery Already Tailor. Going to wear for CNY after that send back to fine tune the fit further.

I posted more photos on fb for those who like to see the details of the workmanship.

Thought brown buttons would look more versatile. White more summer i guess

Btw, is that considered a 60s blazer then as u mentioned? > dong2che to note! Haha

Would prefer slightly longer sleeves but overall very nice!

Where is a good place to get a suit altered? Would it be those usual suit tailors mentioned here? Or do they not accept alterations?
