Cannot blame the folks too. We did undercut the value of some of the players we were going for. Also, I believe the money from Ronaldo sale was not used much. People started to think that it was used to service the loan which in actual fact probably happened. Mata is a signal of intent. Question now is, how much do we have left?

Probably. Not much left..

Mata buy is good for the Glazers. If the team doesn't do well, like the first half of this season, the value of the club drops, share value goes down, it affects them. Heard that the value of the club has plunged by 200 mil. If signing Mata propels the team upwards on the table, the value of the club goes up, then 37.1 mil is money well-spent, with the potential for principal returns with interest. It makes business sense.

Let's say a top player cost anywhere between 30 to 50 million which I believe is the value they will command. We need another 4 players. So that's already 120million at least. Do we have this warchest?

It does but don't expect a miracle from Mata though. Ozil's arrival at Arsenal lifted what was already a good Arsenal team. Mata while brilliant may struggle if our midfielders don't feed him the ball. The triangle of Mata, Rooney and RVP looks very very good. Now hope our defence and midfield get their act together

That's why fans start to wonder if we still have money to spend. For our reported target, Kroos and Vidal valued at least at 30 million. Anything below that is low balling.

Very difficult to find. Haha. Vidal and Gundogan lor. 80 million for both? Haha

Read on redcafe that gundogan back injury is actually quite serious n may affect his playing career. Would need to be really cautious to sign him less he turns into another Hargreaves.

Apparently he's got Spondylolisthesis, which is a chronic condition in the spinal vertebrae. It can't be cured, causes a lot of pain under excessive pressure and activity if not handled properly and getting surgery for it will most likely make it worse and end your career as a professional. I wish him the best and I hope he can fulfill his potential but I wouldn't risk another case of Hargreaves at Manchester United.

The way the players play for the past games, we already lost before taking to the field. Mata seems to have raised the confidence of the rest of the players. Even Rooney is willing to talk about his contract. It will be a massive boost for the team.
