any1 can help with 500/500 =x

What issue are you facing?

is VQ return route being hijacked by asianetcom again? I'm getting different speed between my VQ WAN ip vs my VQ VAS ip again.
I'm getting much better download speed using 132.147.xx.xx ip compared to using 202.83.x.x ip.
Why the inconsistency in speed again?

It's not supposed to be like that. Return route is decided by the ISP on the other end but I'll take a look at it too.

Non contract plans after price changes

Hi,

Would like to ask about folks out there who have a non contract plan with CQ. What happened to your plan price after the last major price change (when was it again pls as well?) to non contract plans?

Thanks!

The ViewQwest TV supports 1080p playback.

In order to decode high bitrate video, dts and embedding external subtitles you'll need to get some apps from the Google Play Store. To our knowledge, Mobo player can be used for subtitles and BS player has dts support - there are likely other apps out there to support the rest :)

OK, I must misunderstand what VQTV is, I thought it was a system based on customized Android and all apps inside are specified for this system only... looks like it is just like Android tablet and free to access all apps in Google Store.

I'm still on non-contract - as i have no use for VPN or the OneVoice.

Nothing has changed - though its $65 up front ($59.95 + modem/ONT rental) - price wise, comes back to the entry level contractual plan - with OneVoice & FreedomVPN.

I'm thinking of switching to viewqwest, guys who are users of VQ, able to feedback?
1. How's their customer service
2. Can maintain subscribed throughput for both international and local?
3. VQ allow multiple IPs setup for different devices in household?
4. Heard any plans from VQ on 1gbps promo or something?

TIA

1. Very good.
2. When I stream netflix with superhd it goes on without any issues, torrents are downloaded in no time.
3. Are you talking of multiple public IP? They provide their own modem/router which is good enough. It acts as a WiFi router as well with 4 port 1 Gbps ethernet.
4. I think there are already 1gbps plans avaialble with VQ.

1. Great.
2. International: No. Local: Yes.
3. If you purchase the IP VAS.
4. No, there's only the listed bundle.

3. There is a 8IP add-on at $50/month and it is a routed 8IP thus you will need a business grade router to do it. VQ supports the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite for basic 1WAN + 1 private LAN + 8 IP public LAN.

4. Price plans | ViewQwest Pte Ltd the 1Gbps plan has bundled RT-AC68U & 24-month Freedom VPN

Just go for the network with the fewest networks or networks with lowest receive strength from neighbors, since there's an even spread across all channels.
.
No offence here, I just want to learn how to why is it so.

let bring this in the context of 2.4ghz and 20mhz channel width:

To my understanding, the 20mhz span is cast across channel 5 to 9 when his WiFi is on channel 7.

Let say five WiFi channels on channel 6 (span across channel 4 to 8) are detected and another five WiFi channels on channel 11 (span across channel 9 to 13) are detected,

Would channel 7 interfere with all 10 WiFi Signals? Which would make the transmission even worse?

I have to agree with you that the 40mhz on his situation makes it worse.

Non-overlapping channels are only non-overlapping when starting from a clean 2.4GHz environment.

Once you have a neighbor that is on channel 3 or channel 7 for example, 1 and 6 or 6 and 11 are overlapped by the neighbors.

Edit: And yup, you’re right, the one on cannel 7 in your scenario would interfere with all.

I get what you meant. I was referring channels which are less overlapped, not non-overlap. Definitely, channel 7 for his situation is being overlapped more than channel 1.

You can email a traceroute or WinMTR output to noc@viewqwest.com and they will follow up with investigation on whether the route can be optimized.

Before that, you may also wish to ensure you are using VQ DNS servers for optimal CDN geo-location.
