Sony Xperia Z2 - Sirius-ly A Good Phone

Been actively monitoring the Z2 and M8 users thread about a few days, seems like both sides has its own pros and cons.

Molested both phones already, and prefered the M8 UI and the cool metal finish. Z2 attracts me on durability (dust & waterproof), phone body looks like it can survive some drops better and a decent camera.

Am little bit worried the overall size of Z2 (when operate with 1 hand) and the UI seems more complicated (maybe Im not used to andriod phone).

Im still struck, cant decide which to get as my 1st android phone

Anyone able to do product registration? It keep saying Invalid Serial Number / IMEI Number.

It'll take a while before the IMEI numbers are entered into their system. Just wait for 1 week.

Anyone noticed that the haptic feedback for third-party keyboards don't work? I've tried SwiftKey and Touchpal so far... system setting for vibrate on touch is enabled.

I was using google keyboard, the default system vibration is strong, so i set mine on value 40 in google keyboard settings.

the alarm issue, can try to adjust the alarm volume in the sound setting, not only the volume in alarm app

siao liao, my white set i also just realsied got the white issue? has anyone here try resolving with respective telco? does anyone know if M1 has a one to one exchange policy?

My Sony SmartBand arrived from Amazon! But its required software isn't even public yet | TechHive

Looks like the software team of Sony is lagging behind in the launch of z2. Their strategy of 6 months product life cycle is crazy if they have so some team working on z2 and z3 and now it backfires on them, launching a product when not 100% ready.

Hi all, while I'm waiting for my set to be delivered to me, I have a question after going thru earlier pages regarding factory reset.

Qns 1: If I update firmware then do a factory reset (freshly out of the box), will the bloatwares and Spiderman trailer remains there? (I want them to remain there)

Qns 2: What's the reason for doing a factory reset to a new device?

The bloatware apps will still be there but the trailer might be deleted. Save to SD card, just in case.

Not sure why but I always do that when I get a new device. It just ensures that the device is fully wiped and all settings are reset to default.

But the author of that article don't even have the Xperia Z2. It's known that the Lifelog app will be exclusively launched on the Z2 (and maybe to other Xperia devices later on), and the Smartband only works with Lifelog. So it isn't so much that the product isn't ready but more of a marketing strategy for it to work only with the Z2 when the latter launches.

i do find that the phone actually heats up easily.. especially if run games like clash of clan.. maybe due to high screen resolution?

Not true that the lifelong app is exclusively for z2, during the ces show in Jan, lifelog is already demo without introduction of z2.

how do u all tell it??? the top part so black.
ar u all trying to say. part of the camera corner is being covered by the black glass.. hence its not align with the black front glass camera hole.
