new firmware from Merlin

374.42 is now available for download for all supported models. This release is mostly a maintenance version.

Highlights of this release:
Merged with Asus's 374_5656 GPL, which included a few additional security fixes, and a reworked web interface for FTP/SMB management.
Various user-contributed tweaks and fixes related to IPv6 were merged in.
OpenVPN and miniupnpd were updated to their latest versions. The miniupnpd update includes some improvements to PCP support.

More details can be found in the complete change log.

Hi Asus ,

If you are here as well . I want to notify you that your 3G/4G dongle list for SG is very limited , infact it's all only 3G .

I have recently signed up for Mobile broadband Plan from Singtel and they are giving us Huawei 3276 (LTE dongle via USB) have yet to try to use it with the router .

Anyone tried ? Please share .

Its already in use in Sweden and Finland according to the list .

By the way, anyone used TPlink dongles or prolink dongles ?

Updates :

It does not work even on latest firmware from Asus : Version 3.0.0.4.374.5656

Anyone tried ? for any 4G dongle ?

Anyone has Nexus 7 2013 here?

My sometimes can connect to the router, sometimes can see the SSID, recognised as saved but cannot connect. Manual connect also doesn't work, but after a period of time which varies randomly, it magically can on its own :s22:

This is on the 2.4GHz, 5Ghz sometimes can detect, sometimes can't but all the while can't connect, and all the time I'm just right next to the router.

The Nexus 7 connects fine with other networks just this AC68U, and everything else connects fine to the AC68U. So just the Asus tablet having problems with the Asus router :s22:

I've set to dynamic IP, set aside an IP from the router for the Nexus 7 and checked for IP conflicts since previously on old router was on static. Everything all clear.

If it helps, I got the Nexus 7 from USA and not locally. Anyone any ideas? Thanks!

Anyone using this router with DD-WRT?

Does merlin firmware has this "NetFlow/RFlow" to track top talkers for monitoring features?

gave up on Starhub . cannot be trusted at all :(:(:(

I'm on firmware 3.0.0.4.374_5656

Set IPv6 to Native
DHCP-PD - Enabled
Auto Configuration - Stateless
Connect to DNS Server automatically - Enabled
Enable Router Advertisement - Enabled

Click onto Apply,
Power cycle ONT & Router.

Works like a charm.

I just bought and set up the AC68U as a wireless access point (connected to my main router via ethernet cable). I'm on a 300mbps plan and my main computer receives 300mbps.

However, when i connect wirelessly to the AC68U (standing right next to it), I'm only able to get 25mbps. Is my unit faulty?

It depends on which client you have to connect. Older devices can only support up to certain speed.

We need info such as client used, wireless environment congestion etc..

Wow. Use AC68 as access point?

My AC68U is on the 2nd floor serving as an access point (wired via ethernet from a Zhone router on the 1st floor).

Using a Samsung Note 8.0 and Galaxy S3 for wireless. Spoke to tech support earlier. I'm now getting around 30Mbps for 2.4GHz and 40Mbps for 5GHz, standing right next to the unit. Curiously, upload speeds are quite a bit faster than download speeds. What do you guys normally get?
