Thanks for the info. You said " Those not in leadership batches will still go to command school, provided they are IB diploma students as well as international school students who have returned from overseas to complete NS." However, I am a student at an international school in Singapore e.g. OFS, UWC, TTS (don't want to disclose). This is what I meant by international school (i.e. non local school in Singapore). Does this change my chances to go to OCS?
to be honest, i am in no position to say why you should trust me over him. all i can tell you is what i said is definitely not as sweeping a statement as he is saying...
I don't think there is ever an instance of people definitely going into command school by virtue of them being an international school student with IB diploma. i know he didn't use the word "definitely" but he seems to be implying it from that statement.
Unlike poly diploma that is from what i know very individual to each poly, IB if not wrong has an international standard, so it should carry the same as ACS I kind of IB hence I feel that you shouldn't worry too much about it. Even if really they view it different, i don't see what you can do now that will change your chances. maybe the only other method is signed on. I believe you predicted to get almost perfect score should know what i am driving at...
On another note: The NAPFA that I will do pre-enlistment (to try to avoid PTP). Will it be like the new IPPT? (i.e. 2.4 km run, push ups and sit ups?) I will be doing the NAPFA around the October-Feb time period most likely (due to my likely enlistment time).
i am a bit puzzled. are you done with school or not yet? If you are going to enlist around that time, why are you doing your NAPFA only around that time?
