Hi freakinclown,

Ive this 47LG60FR 6 years old.

No picture or sound for HDMI source when I turn on StarHub Hub Station. Tested 2 HDMI cable, same, just a blank blue screen. Test with my Bluray player, same thing. Tested using AV line, ok. Meaning hub station is ok.

Tested both the set-top box n bluray player on another TV, both working fine.

But a very funny thing is that when I use my TV box, everything ok. Picture n sound working...

Hope to hear from u soon... TIA.

Hello!

Did you test your set top box and blu ray player on the other tv using hdmi also?

And..by saying your tv box, are you referring to the usual tv channels that you watch either via analogue or digital signals?

So for the tv box, you connect it to the tv via hdmi as well, and it works?

That's actually very weird. In this case, we'll need to do a check on the tv before we can tell what's wrong with it..

Hello there! For your tv, it's quite hard to tell exactly what's wrong without checking it, but there's a possibility that it's a problem with the motherboard. As for whether it's worth repairing, it depends on several factors such as the cost of your tv, how old it is, how much you like it etc. I'll send you a pm regarding the cost of repair.

hi freakinclown,

i have a 42pfl5609/98 philips tv.

when i turn wall power on, as normal the red light will be on too.
when i use remote press on, there will be the normal crackling sound that philips tv make.

thing is there is no display and no sound. but whatever buttons i press on the remote will make the lights blink as per normal. this means part of tv still working.

any advice on this, such as how to hard reset the tv?
can pm me also if repair will be how much?

thanks,
Ashraf

My 42" LG TV won't turn on intermittently, some time it goes into a clicking loop.
Please pm estimated repair cost. Thanks.

hi freakinclown. I have an old 2010 model panasonic led tv model no. THL32D25S

The tv's analog tuner is not working. everything is dark when i switch to analog and no amount of tuning works. However, everything is fine when I switch to dvb-t. I am able to get the available channels. connection to hdmi works too. i can get the picture very clearly. Is it possible to repair it? Or does a certain part have to be replaced? would it be expensive and worth it? Or should I sell it to second hand dealers? what would be the price for repairing or replacing a certain part. can you give a rough estimate?

thank you.

Hello!

It should be a problem with the tuner. If it's in a condition where it's repairable, the repair cost will be cheaper. If it's not repairable, and the entire board needs replacement, then it would get very expensive and I wouldn't recommend you to repair it.

We will only know whether it's repairable after my dad does a check on the tv. If you need more info on the exact cost, do pm me. Hope this helps!

Hi freakinclown,

I have a sharp lcd TV model no. LC42G7M.
The images are faded, lacking in contrast when the TV is switched on. No amount of adjusting the brightness/contrast helped. Is it possible to repair? Pls give an estimate if it is still repairable. Thanks.

Hello!

I've just checked with my dad on your issue. He says that for your case, he can't tell the cause of the problem without checking I out your tv. Therefore, I am unable to tell you if it's repairable or not. Do pm me if you need more info on this.

Hope this helps!
