In what way?
I still face intermittent 5G connection...
Although it shows full bar, Internet don't work.
The WiFi speed is also slower than my AC56U as a AP mode.
On 4608 firmware now

Yes 4608 is the most stable FW since it launch liao ...

Please ensure these

1) Both Radio Beamforming -- DISABLE
2) Both Radio network interval if = 3600 , change to 0

Reboot .

BF was disabled by default in the new firmware
Network key rotation interval was set by me at 0 for 5G
Just done the 2.4G as well, rebooted.
Will monitor again...

Thanks

.... if any apple devices please move to 2.4Ghz and try see how.....

One more point : Take note of the MAC address of the device that affected when it happen , go into the router wireless log using another device and see what is the connected TX rate and Rx Rate of the connected / affected devices.

I have 2 x AC87. Did a speed test on port 1(First router), only able to 100Mbps on a 1Gbps internet. Tried port 2 on the same router and gotten 800Mbps.

For the second router, port 1 to 4's speediest only gave me 400Mbps.

Did anyone experience throttled bandwidth on port 1 or lower bandwidth when provider's router is configured as bridge.

why are you concerned about the RAM usage when clearly there is nothing you can do at consumer level? :s8:

Hi folks, need some help.
I just bought an AC87 at the IT show yesterday, but have been having problems setting it up.
1) the 4 LAN lights on the router never lights up. I've used a LAN cable to try and set the router up from my laptop, but no signal (no blinking lights) on any port.
2) cannot get WAN connection. The light on the router is always red. Starhub modem looks fine. I've got no problem setting up my existing crappy router on the same laptop.

Old version of firmware though, but since I cannot even access http://192.168.1.1, I can't even update the firmware.

Sounds like a hardware fault to me. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe you can try to do a RESET first. Also, the unit will take some time to boot up, do take note of this too.

Well I can see the router as an unconfigured and unsecured router (via wifi). But I have been trying in vain to get it configured via that route. The browser always hangs while trying to connect to the router.

:(

I did a hardware factory reset last night. Perhaps I will try it again later tonight when I get back home.
