Ok need to go and stock up :s13:

I stay in the east & I wouldn't drive or take the train all the way to paragon just for a few bottles of peanut butter. I'll wait until NTUC Finest at Bedok Mall and/or NTUC at Bedok Central restock them..

I've still got lots of raw almonds, cashews, walnuts & macadamia nuts to snack on..:D

Those who are really into paleo & are anal about their diet will not go for peanuts but if you're "semi-paleo" then by all means eat natural peanut butter (ie where there's the layer of natural peanut oil sitting on top of the natural peanut butter).

If you're eating commercial peanut butter eg Skippys etc, avoid them like the plague - once hydrogenated oil is put into peanut butter, there will be the health destroying man-made trans fat.

Yup, no need to go crazy over peanut butter

Legumes can cause inflammation but I think it's also the dosage that counts :D

Anyway, it's a treat for me - 1 spoonful a couple of days :s13:

Only if I am in that part of town...hahah

Peanut butter is more of a treat or quick pick me up in the office - otherwise, I don't take it at home :D

Grass fed butter is good; get Anchor Brand - that one is from NZ grass fed cows.

Other than grass fed butter, don't touch other spreads, most of which are laden with trans fats.

Check the label/wrapping to see if it's from NZ. AFAIK, only NZ butter is grass fed. Australia, Denmark etc and the rest are all grain fed - this means the omega 3 content is lower.

My recipe on PB is

25g Chia Seed
50g Sunflower Kernel
40g Peanut Butter
25g Grass-fed butter

Total 837 Calories

That's a lot of calories...I rather spend my calories on a good steak :s13:

To lose weight, we still need to achieve a calorie deficit, except LCHF helps us to do so without having to count calories...hahah

Can also try Kerry Gold - the "gold" standard for grass-fed butter according to the paleo sphere :s13:
