I used to use a slow Sandisk MicroSD 16GB card. Yes it was big enough to put shows inside, but the problem is, it was not fast enough for me to watch shows. As a result, the whole show kept hanging, lagging, picture became pixelated etc. that was when i realise getting a decent SD card with decent speed and reliability does matter. Not saying that Sandisk is not good, but get a microSD card with speeds of at least the Samsung EVO MicroSD card or equivalent to ensure that you can watch shows smoothly...

PS: The show i watch on my phone is running man.

Brand difference is warranty. Sandisk only 5 years limited warranty and alot of seller dunno why never put the local distro sticker vector magnetics so not sure if warranty is honoured. As for Kingston, Transcend, Strontium have lifetime warranty. Strontium Claims also that their SD card is water and shock proof

SD card is so small and no moving parts.. not all shock-proof meh?:s22:

Haha dunno leh. Maybe just marketing. But just take note of lifetime warranty. Last time my SD card that came with some Nokia e72 uplorry all the data also gone. So possible for SD card spoil. As for speed just get a class 10 UHS I minimum for HD shows etc. If u recording 4k videos need higher speed. Don't get class 4 etc lot or class 6

how slow is the card ? class 4 ? your problem may be due to a variety of reasons.

I use class 4 microsds on a lousy android phone Lenovo A396, and I have no problems watching the 720p and 180p videos, the bitrate up to 6000 kbps. the videos lags are minimum, and the fastforwarding from MX Player is instant fast.

I do have some problems with some, not all MKV videos on the A396. I did some tests of the videos on other devices and concluded that the problem is probably with the A396, not the class 4 microsd.

according to the standards by all manufacturers. class 4 is good enough to play videos. class 10 is recommended for cameras.

How then will a sd card be deemed as able to claim for warranty ah?

As long as cannot read and write?

Samsung isn't typically associated with reliability for flash memory.

Brands like SanDisk, Lexar are. You will never find anything other than SanDisk in my devices, and especially so in my cameras.

I bet to differ . Samsung has been pouring lots of money in flash memory R&D in past years its flash memory technology is on par or even better than sadisk or lexar now .

Look at its ssd and micro sd products card performance , reliability and reviews you will know .

FYI, sandisk has acknowledged before that a batch of their microsd has QC issues, which created some problems with reading on phones.
