Looks like there is only 1 capacitive button. Home button only.

No recent apps/menu or back button!

Seems like a really good phone at a very good price. 3gb ram, removable large capacity battery, dual sim, micro SD card and fingerprint scanner.

What you guys think? Worth getting?

Good to know that both the dual sim slots are 4G enabled.

that is the problem with PRC phones, dun know why they do it, but it is their "style"
sian

for PRC brand - Meizu, there is a recent apps, (slide up), even though i wack a Nova Launcher on it, that will solve the App drawer problem, but still no "back button"

are there any Custom Launcher that has "back button" / feature?

All this does sound like a very exciting device, especially at a target price point of only $199. Unfortunately though, Elephone again and again manages to disappoint their fans. Initially, the Elephone P7000 was scheduled to hit shops during the first quarter of 2015. The first launch date was early March, but soon has been delayed to early April. Now we got confirmation that Elephone will again not be able to meet this launch date. The P7000 has again been delayed and this time it’s early May.

Bait and switch.....
http://www.gizchina.com/2015/04/27/...ers-told-they-may-not-get-imx214-main-camera/

Elephone have posted on their reservation page for the P7000 that some phones will not ship with the Sony IMX214 announced in official specifications. Keep reading for more info.

The Elephone P7000 has been on a special pre-sale since Saturday. During the special event customers have the change to receive an ‘Ele code’ so that they can buy the new device at a bargain $159.99 in May.

At such a low price, and with such high specifications (including MT6752 processor, 3GB RAM, 5.5 FHD display, Fingerprint scanner etc) the reservations are going strong with lot’s of hopeful customers.

But customers should be aware of one change in the specification for this early batch of phones. On the reservation page Elephone have posted a note that this first batch of P7000 will not ship with a Sony IMX214 main sensor but instead the Sony IMX135.

Elephone say that stock of the IMX214 could not be replenished in time for the launch (understandable with so many other companies now offering this camera) so have had to make a switch for the IMX135 in the meantime.

Some Elephone P7000 hopefuls have been disappointed by the news, while others have praised Elephone for their honesty. In our opinion the P7000 with IMX135 is still a great deal at $159.99, and its good to see Elephone ensure customers know exactly what they are buying.
What do you think of the news?

So is 135 or 214, why all source say diff things de

This is how they said:
elephone.hk/readNews/3137.h*t*m*l

The only worrying part for me is how the performance for 3gb ram under MT6752 based on those comments below:

DO NOT PICK THE JIAYU S3 ADVANCED 3GB
the so called advanced is just of extra 1 GB RAM !
that's it nothing more except another extra 20 USD !
and the NKAED TRUTH that Jiayu has BiG, BiG PRO-blems with this extra 1 GB RAM !
The Android OS, Kernel and APPS are NOT reporting or not even working right with the extra 1GB RAM, hahahaha !
Jiayu is still working for fixing this advanced crap issue, and it will be on market in February 2015 !
So i Honestly suggest to pick up the Jiayu with 2GB instead of waiting for the super buggy 3GB !
Simple i compare the REAL SPECS of/from MediaTek from what i have with the ones that the "brands" are selling !
Yes i can ENABLE disabled functions (not all of them) !
i know MediaTek, how they work.

your posts are very informative for me,,i would love to know how exactly to enable or disable ( at least ) the most important functions like the read/write speed ,H.265 encoding and of course the audio codecs.
from what we can see here , it appears that the MT6752 Soc is more stable with only 2 gigs of RAM,, maybe this is why meizu choose to go for that combination,, instead of using 3 Gigs ,, but the confusing thing is , there's some others brands are using 3 Gigs of ram instead of 2, so the big brands ( HTC Desire 820s for example ) went for only 2 gigs RAM ,,and smaller brands mostly went for more amount of ram,, i guess we will need to wait and test the actual devices from both.
one more question please, we heard about the Dakele 3 few weeks ago,, you have any idea about its availability and price?
thank you
