Help!

Hello,

I recently upgraded to Singtel 300 mbps and i am new to routers. However i cannot achieve 300mbps upload and download speed with my ac66u. Kindly advise what settings must i configure to achieve optimal speed.

Also i realised when i used ac at 5GHZ for both client and router. The output the router can achieve is only 90mbps which is far from my subscription speed. Is this suppose to happen?

Thanks!
:)

Recommendation how to connect Singtel fibre 200 with mioTV

Hi All,

any recommendation to connect singtel fibre 200mbps with mioTV using RT-AC66U?

should i use the default Aztech FG7003 connect to mioTV STB and pull
one network cable into RT-AC66U ?

this will keep mioTV working

or should i remove Aztech FG7003
and try to setup vlan for mioTV and use it ?

what is the recommended connection ?

thanks!

Hi all

Just bought the AC66U and is currently paired into my Viewqwest fibre (VQ modem is currently in Bridge-mode providing fibre to the AC66U)

I have a question:

(updated to latest firmware, btw)
With both 2.4GHz and 5GHz enabled, I find that my PS4 completely disconnects from the wifi whenever my Asus T100 Transformer connects to the wifi. Disabling the wifi on the T100 reconnects my PS4.

Turning off 5GHz, the connection works.

TLDR:
2.4 + 5GHz:
T100 + PS4 - PS4 disconnects from Wifi
Mobile + PS4 - both works fine

2.4GHz:
All works fine.

Any suggestions? PS4 is given static IP + placed in DMZ. Changing the 5GHz SSID doesn't work.

Does anyone know why is my 2.4Ghz connection is faster than my 5Ghz?

The 2.4Ghz d/u speed is 90/75 and 5Ghz d/u speed is 68/127.

It's also weird that the upload speed of the 5Ghz connection is almost twice as fast as the download speed.

Visit http://asuswrt.lostrealm.ca/download for the latest version.

hi guys. I just got this router last night but having some problems setting it up.

primarily I cannot access the router's homepage at 192.168.1.1

last night initially I could and I updated the firmware to the latest on Asus website. but this morning totally no wireless signal coming out from the router.

tried to access the router homepage and couldn't again. since then I've tried almost everything including restoring the firmware using Firmware Rescue but still can't work.

would appreciate any form of guidance or help here. thank you.

I've tried that already. after firmware reflashed, it works for a while and then when powered off and on again, it doesn't work again.

can see that the router keeps rebooting itself.

So long it's a local set, you can still RMA base on manufacturing date. No harm to give it a try.

icic. where is the RMA centre for asus routers?

then try flashing to a third party firmware like dd-wrt or openwrt.

if after flash still have problem then high chance is hardware problem.

I tried the Merlin FW. still stuck in reboot loop. thanks a lot for your advice.

You cannot RMA with a 3rd party firmware I think, try to install the stock firmware if you can.

The service centre for Asus routers is at kallang. You might want to refer to avertek website..
