Am not sure what NAS you use, QNAP seems to bring the whole router down when I download simultaneously. the processors really constant 100%.

Synology DS412+ old model running on hybrid raid, my write speed around 100+ MBps only.

Me too, an old TS-410, been around for the past 5 year. Perhaps i should switch to synology, but am too used to QNAP interface over the years. It work fine previously on my old network. Not sure why it goes haywire on Asus.

Hi,

You got try with Note 4 SM-N910S with Ookla speedtest install in the phone ? When connect to 5G network, while running speedtest with download, u able to see the speed drop and slow in the middle, connect to 2.4G network will be slower. Same phone connect to 3 antenna router no issue. Speedtest All the way stable and no drop while running download and upload test.

haven tried Note Edge. But Note 4 N910C recently got more issues. Its lagging on 5 and 2.4ghz. 5ghz will be slightly faster, 2.4ghz not moving at all.

S6 edge seems fine just only the dropping issues on Note 4.

Hi all and Asus,
I know Asus have come a long way with this, fixed the PS4 lag, ect...
I have to say the 5GHz seems really good within the nice range.

Once outside the range of 5GHz and now in 2.4GHz, well now 2.4 just sucks so bad that I have to shut off wifi all together. (~200-300+ feet, that used to be great last year)

I have noticed this on the beta and latest final (I have not flashed anything older again). with iphone 6 plus with all updates.

I hope you can duplicate this, it has been a while since I posted, but this is now driving me nuts.

please fix.

Media Bridge Mode Problem

Dose any one tried connecting a RT-AC68U as media bridge to RT-AC87U?

Because I am doing this via the 5GHz, and my RT-AC87U's 5G connection died completely after 1 or 2 days of use, even the router's manager webpage became very slow (or event not responding).

I have tried the firmware from 3.0.0.4.378.3754 to 5587 with no lucky (hard reset after every firmware change).

Any suggestion? Should I throw away the RT-AC68U and buy another RT-AC87U?

P.S. When the 5GHz died, there is no log appeared in the Log page.

IPv6 Passthought

Dear ASUS@SG

Is there any plan to add IPv6 Passthrough function?

I am asking this is because a lot of your users in Japan are using IPv6 IPoE via fiber network. And the Apple's Airport Extreme or other Japanese Routers can assign IPv6 Address to LAN Clients getting from the ISP's ONU (optical network unit) device, but all of ASUS devices can NOT.

I also searched many Japanese website with no luck.
I always get the error log below, being repeated forever

...
May 24 14:08:35 dnsmasq-dhcp[669]: no address range available for DHCPv6 request via br0
May 24 14:08:41 dnsmasq-dhcp[669]: no address range available for DHCPv6 request via br0
May 24 14:09:18 dnsmasq-dhcp[669]: no address range available for DHCPv6 request via br0
May 24 14:10:30 dnsmasq-dhcp[669]: no address range available for DHCPv6 request via br0
May 24 14:10:30 dnsmasq-dhcp[669]: no address range available for DHCPv6 request via br0
...

And the IPv6 log looks like this:

IPv6 Connection Type: Native with DHCP-PD
WAN IPv6 Address: 2400:2412:8a0:b800:XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXXX/64
WAN IPv6 Gateway: fe80::6a94:23ff:fe68:387e
LAN IPv6 Address: /0
LAN IPv6 Link-Local Address: fe80::ae9e:17ff:fe47:b4c0/64
DHCP-PD: Enabled
LAN IPv6 Prefix: /0
DNS Address:

IPv6 LAN Devices List
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Hostname MAC Address IPv6 Address

Any suggestion about how to get my IPv6 working on ASUS Routers?

Many thread talking about ASUS in Japan is suggest us not to buy the device because ASUS don't pay attention to what Japanese users needed. That's why I have to come here to ask this question.

Hope can get useful response from here.
Thank you.

Why not use some users'ac87u to test with your note 4?
