Its the same for 818N. Need to manual switch the SIM 1 to 2G and set the SIM 2 to LTE.

Guys, am I wrong to say that 818N is also LTE enabled for both Sim 1 and Sim 2? Spent so much to ship 818P from Dubai, could have bought it from Hong Kong next week :s22:

Has anyone tried these guides on XDA-Developers to enable 3G & 4G data on both sims? So far it seems like most of you have only been able to do 2G/4G :o

http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/lg-g4-dual-sim-models-h818p-h818n-t3115759

Still talking abt this? I though I clarified this matter..

Firstly u need to know your carrier's 3G band then adjust your preferred SIM to the band..

Why some of N or the P version get it automatically? Basiclly depends where you buy it from. Because where you buy it from will the determine the defaulted bands. Some lucky ppl whose carrier is on the same band of the country of origin of the phone dun require to change the band manually hence, those not so lucky one's need to do it manually..

Long story short: LG G4 supports 4G/3G and possibly 4G/4G:D

h818P

last week, i bought h818p from mr joe
ww.myaparato.com/lg-g4-leather-dual-sim-lte-4g-h818p-32gb-mobile-phone/product-1355655.html

and i can confirmed that the h818p (10d-ame) from this seller support 4g on second sim by changing to gsm for 1st sim and vise versa..

you cant activate both 4g at once.

It's the same for HK 818N.

i think they are different, N is HK version; while P is dubai, thailand, vietnam & etc...

because there are some users told me that the sim2 of N can only support 2G..so i decided to buy P as it was confirmed sim2 is 4g capable..

i do hope more N version users to share more info..

I'm using the N version from HK. I can select LTE on sim 2. So conclusion, both P and N are the same. And the best for N version, u can even select the LTE band under the hidden menu 277634#*#. Meaning if I travel to Australia or even china, I can switch to their LTE band. For SG, it's under LTE band 7 iirc.

hi, i just try by using your code and i can see the "lte band selection" in h818p too...so conclusion they are most probably 99% same..

but looking at the method to activate other band, looks like not that easy

Most likely P and N version are similar. Just that N version support LTE for mainland China.

So in short,

Both N and P version can do both 4G/3G combination ?

SIM1 SIM2
=== ===
Scenario #1 4G 3G
Scenario #2 3G 4G

Of course, only 1 SIM will be selected for data.

Thanks

Yes, definitely. Both 818P and 818N successful. Not difficult. Just follow the instruction carefully, it will succeed. No data lost, except for one thing. If your micro SD is using exFat format, it will not support. You have to format your card back to Fat32. I guess this is due to the kenel.
