Hello all current/graduated UOL students! Hope you guys can help me, I'm not looking for politically correct answers but just your honest ones!

Would you mind sharing how is the campus life like in the university (or if there is one to begin with?). I've heard of stories from my friends that normally UOL students have no life. Go lectures go home study etc, there will not be enough time to study if go for CCA. Wanted to confirm if they are true?

That said, are the lessons being taught there through only lectures, only tutorials, or both? Are they interactive, or just sit there listen kind?

Finally, what is your take on the summer overseas exchanges program? Is it very popular with the students in SIMGE? Any stories of the exchange not being well planned out?

Hi marsbarsz, I am a current UOL student and I think campus life is pretty good especially with CCA. I feel UOL students have a flexible schedule in general as we only have about 12 hours of lectures a day. So if you can manage your time then it can be a really good university experience.

The little problem will be having a constant group of friends that is with you from year 1 to the end cause of the lecture system. But I feel that's where CCA comes in.

Interactive or not that is really depending on the lecturer. If you take ESAP and under Darrell, then you will experience a very interactive lesson.

Overall it has been a good experience for me. Hope you have a good experience in there too.

Have you taken POA before? They will just go through basic double entry and the types of accounts and books in POA. Nothing much.

Haha. I know abit on double entry. Not that good in it. I Will try to attend session 2 though. Thanks for your reply.
