I'm not sure this time round who is the courier.

I bought the Huawei 4X from Convergent System through Lazada and delivered by Ninjavan.

The Ninjavan delivered my 4X at 2300 hours.

First, to help people understand why Whatsapp still works, there is a good new article for google developers. http://developer.android.com/training/monitoring-device-state/doze-standby.html

According to this, once plugged in, the phone will not doze. That's sensible. Also, if Whatsapp uses GCM to wake, then even though Doze is on, high priority messaging still will stop doze. Lastly, even if don't use GCM, use of partial wakelock will also let Whatsapp continue. And of course, there's the whitelist.

Considering other brands (Samsung, LG, etc) are doing lots of marketing and Nexus doing nothing here, the crowds will be be a niche group of google purists (us people posting here).

But that is fine, considering there is local support for the latest Nexus already is a huge change from the past Nexuses.

Bro, can't judge so early. Not even 1 piece of stock is in. Nexus is immensely popular preorder all over the world, and the traditional `niche group' has greatly expanded to mainstream consciousness. The phone is not even in stock, do marketing now is not really acceptable. I dare say that the amount of preliminary interest in a phone which has not even been seen in the wild on sale anywhere in the world, has been phenomenal. Don't you agree?

actually i just want to know if any orders made within the pre-order period, will there be a OOS situation?

just dont want to f5 at 23:59 hrs.

Pre-orders done should be able to deliver within the estimated timeframe if everything smooth. Once OOS situation is reached, Lazada should try to ASAP post a delivery estimate but preorder will continue. This information is as per current understanding, it may change.

ytd i just flip ifruit 6s plus 128gb rose gold. got $450 profit after flipping.

gonna use that + dbs live fresh $80 cashback to buy my nexus 6p at $369!

could have flipped more if i went down to queue when they release the ifruit, but lazy this year.

It's the same. DBS Live Fresh card also got the same $80 promo. So it's the same.

this also depend on the plan you signed? Normally if cheaper plan... You fork out more for the phone... Actually if you can't sell your phone above rrp... Then you will consider losing money ady... More like you swapping for cheaper phone only...

Nowadays got Singtel contract free plan - SIM Only plan. S$20 starting 3GB. So much more savings.
