My 4GB data had been used up within 10 days of the new reset counter from StarHub, there's 3 days which on averaged eat 1GB+, why is that so much?

I see from my iPhone 6s Plus stats, most of the data are being used on safari & facebook. But I don't remember using both of them so much.

Any kind souls can advise how can i prevent so much data being used?

Perhaps can check if you have the "auto-play videos" option on in Facebook app. If you do, this means Facebook preloads all the videos on your news feed. IMO this consumes the most data. I don't have any Facebook apps in my phone, no such issue.

Safari browser now supports ad-blockers, which help speed up page loading and browsing performance. This feature is currently not available to 3rd party browsers like Chrome, which makes a very compelling case to stick with the stock browser.

That said, I am not sure Google would want their chrome users to block ads too actively anyways.

Mine worked flawlessly for about a week, then it went 50-50.

At first I thought it was some app that I installed.

Now I believe it is due to the oleophobic coating wearing off and if you have sweaty palm or slightly oily finger the touchID will not respond.

I've found out that the front tip of my finger can be scanned better, so maybe you want to try to seeing where is you sweet spot.

i also encountered the same issue. sometimes turn on the display, den touch the fingerprint sensor, it doesnt unlock the phone. have to turn off the screen and turn it on again, den it work. a bit irritating.

shall try the "register new fingerprint" method then.

You can backup to iCloud
You don't need iTunes to setup a new iPhone.

You can live without iTunes if you:
1) Don't want to sync songs/movies to the default app(you can download songs/movies to a 3rd party app and listen/watch from the app if you want)
2) Don't have a huge backup(you can purchase more iCloud storage and backup from there)

Could it be WiFi Assist?
Settings > Mobile Data > *scroll to bottom* Wifi Assist. Turn it off.

previously on android very happy that swiftkey android has chinese support finally and able to change languages just by swiping spacebar.

is this available for iOS? cos i cant find chinese input in swiftkey languages.

I'm using Swiftkey and only used it for English inputs. Chinese characters wise, I use back the default keyboard.

default keyboard switch language also easy? just press on the globe button next to spacebar

Default keyboard can have Chinese input. Just click the globe to toggle between English and Chinese.

yeah i know. but if swiftkey has chinese then easier. just swipe spacebar ma.

since no choice, i'm also using the globe to change language.

How many milliseconds do you save by swiping vs pressing the globe? How often do you need to switch between the languages? I will still just Apple keyboard.

I default to the stock iOS keyboard. 3rd party keyboards still seem quite buggy on iOS, and I want to use the trackpad function on my 6S+.

Suddenly cannot send text msg to WhatsApp group chat. But sending photos to group chat can. Individual contacts in WhatsApp, no issues. Weird. IP6s+.
