can i remove my chipset and change to a newer mobo

hi guys ...im currently using a prebuilt acer predator 5910

its coming to its 5th yr..

intel core i7-2600 cpu @3.4ghz
16gb ddr3 (from cpu-z it states 667mhz)
1tb hdd
nvidia gforce 545
i dunno wad psu rating i have..

well straight to the point....im thinking on getting a new pc for my new place..
but i was thinking of salvaging some of my current comp parts.

is it possible for me to reususe the i7-2600?
i was thinking of kping the hdd and chipset..if possible the psu as well

just get a new mobo, gpu and 8gb of new ram...if budget permits an ssd as well..

am i doing this rong.? pls advise

and seriously the gpu not dat gd....i play on mid/low most of the time...

i was thinking if i just do mobo upgrade i can extend the life span of my pc

If that's the case you will need to change casing change PSU change gpu.
As for usb3 you can get a pcie usb3 addon card.

Changing mobo won't extend lifespan of your pc cos your cpu might also go anytime.

just change your casing, graphics card, power supply.. and if you want you can add an SSD too

what games you play? also how much budget you have?

if you want change mobo to one that has usb3, quite troublesome as you need to reactivate your OS. your OS is tied to your mobo chipset

ive been looking up price list it seems my 1155 socket mobo quite scarce...maybe i shd rethink it over..

btw,,,i was thinking 500 bucks give or take another 100 bux for budget

my current games are bf4 d3 hots...but looking at the newer games soon....

Some of the prebuild is non standard screw make sure to check it first before buy

You change mobo will mostly need to reinstall os and drivers and your oem windows microsoft might not let you re-activate.

Dey processor is a high-precision engineered product. Your 10-15yo PC parts can go cui on any part but not the processor.

They are not like your RAM nor PSU.

Please run memtest on your Acer PC to test your RAM for any error.

PC manufacturers activate Windows differently from standalone OEM/retail channels. They are provided with master key issued by Microsoft on contract to install on all their PCs, with additional data installed inside their PC BIOSes to recognise the PC manufacturer and Windows edition eligible to be activated. And up to Windows 7, PC manufacturers also affixed separate COA sticker with another product key on all their PCs for you to reinstall.

That is to say, the product key found on the COA sticker on a specific set of PC is not the one used to activate the Windows preinstalled on that PC.
