Pls lar the guard only taking a small pay. Does he even need to risk his life at all???

Exactly why. This is from my KL friend. The guard actually tips someone, especially you are going for long holiday. So someone will rob your house safety. Otherwise small pay how to live?

There is something call quick money that you do not have to risk yourself.

what the guards do is this: they observe your pattern. eg, your whole family will go out at 8 am and return at 7 pm. they tell the burglars your pattern such that they can plan their attack. not only that, when the burglars are at work. they keep a lookout for them just in case you return.

Don't ever go to Muslim countries to "retire"

Not a good choice i feel

Rather stay in a 2 room HDB here than a landed there

You will never know when is it your turn to be the one bleeding and lying on the streets, after kena robbed, Gang raped (if female)

Corrupt countries like that, in many years to come, i wouldn't be surprised it's 1 SGD to 5 MYR

The security there so cui, can't understand why ppl wanna retire there.

And the medical, when u get older and need more frequent visits to hospital, you would have wished that you have stayed in singapore instead, their hospital also cui LOL.

Yup. This is true.

Many non Malaysians are lulled into complacency by "security guards".
The open secret is that many of the "Malay" guards in Malaysia are actually illegal or formerly illegal indons. The 'indian' guards are actually bangladeshis who are also illegal or formerly illegal migrants....

had alot of fun reading a first-hand experience of living in horizon hills.

decided that it's not for me.

I can't live with all that rubber-band type of work-style.

What do you mean by rubber band type? :)

Most people bought hh coz of the cozy and green environment.
