I have been running battery life test since last night before sleeping and it is still ongoing this morning. This stems from my very poor experience with the X-mini xoundpods having very unequal battery lives, like ~40%.

Test setup:

1st gen Google Pixel, bluetooth 4.2, aptX codec chosen. Volume is two clicks up from zero (good enough for me since I don't like music blasting into my ears, though 3 clicks is also fine). Some will definitely consider it soft, but just to be consistent... Been looping through my playlist, which doesn't contain any rock or "loud" genres.

Results so far:

Left ear bud, which is the main, lasted for only 7h 20 min. Not unexpected since I have noticed it charging for longer periods of time after using, as compared to the right ear bud.

Right ear bud is still running. Had to manually reconnect after the main died and continue the test. 9h already but battery still at 55%.

Will update the final results later, but it looks like I will be raising a RMA request to take advantage of the 14 day guarantee. The promised 10h battery life seems achievable even with slightly higher volume, but my left earbud really cannot make it. Planning to get them to do proper testing of my replacement set or left earbud. Of course, I am well aware that the difference in battery life between the ear buds cannot be zero.

I received mine but the sound volume seems low.. I can only hear my music from my shanling m2s at 100% volume .. anything wrong with that ?normally 50% is high enough for my normal Iem..

Ok I am an idiot I can still up the volume on the actual earphone itself. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase sound great and fit very comfortably in my ear.

Got mine delivered a few days ago. Love them. Sounds pretty good for the price with $20 off.
It works with the sxfi app but you must have the sxfi amp to activate the sxfi app first.
Yes, the button is pretty hard to press.
It fits very nicely in my ear and stay there
quite well.

I prefer to use the rocket player app than the sxfi app. Sound much better to me.
For the button problem, Ya I hold the top using my index finger and press the button using my thumb. Find it is much easier this way.
Battery life is very good. Better than expected.
I only use the lowest volume (1 click) from 0. It is very loud for me already.
Using for the past 2/3 days, never encounter left/right disconnection.
No lagging at all too.
I placed my note 9 inside my waist pouch behind my back with iPhone and battery pack and umbrella. No issue.
Noise isolation is good. Hardly hear outside traffic sound in the bus. Bus engine sound is hardly noticeable.
I am using Samsung note 9.

Any video showing how it's done? I'm curious.

i have no idea how it is done
cuz the explanation by that poster is just so bad.

better way is just cup the ear

i have to say tho, so far the outlier air connection is really good

the x-mini in comparison, is literal **** :x

Hold the phone behind your waist. It should cut off completely.

Try it on iphone and android phone to see for yourself.

Hey.......since u've the x mini, can u comment on the quality of music being played from both? Is the Outlier better? The x mini drop outs is a known issue but I've learn to live with it and it's useable most times.....though disappointed. Hoping the Outlier is the one tat I'm looking for.

Update 1: I use this when going out and it stuttering all the way rendered it unusable at all.. anyone have this issue? How do I solve it ? I will pair it if another device to see if it is the source issue or the earphone issue.. very sad..

How to check battery % for both ah? Mine always only show the main earbud battery on my phone (android 9.0/pie)

Either connect L/R individually (may have to select which to connect) or you switch the main to the R one.

Thats the workaround haha abit leceh

Bah it is just a one-off check imho... Once you know how different the battery life is between L and R after say 1-2 hour usage, I doubt you would ever need to know this info again. Unless you want to test the limits haha.

Besides, the % doesn't reflect the real situation once you reach about 40%; it just starts dropping quicker.

This morning I came across this outlier air, went to the website, login to my creative account, and bought it! Besides the $20 online discount, j still have 10 bucks creative points so overall i lay $89.00

I wanted a buds earphone.. was waiting for galaxy buds but figures it will be easily 200 or more. So bought this

Sent from Samsung SM-N950F using GAGT

Anybody have issue with it not paring?

When I turn it on the left bud is flashing blue like mad and the right bud can be paired

But when I put both back into the case both doesn't turn off

Finally received my outlier air after some unhappiness with creative online store.
Anyway that had past, charge the ear piece after unboxing it. Light went out so I assume ear piece is fully charge. Which is not.

Btw the instruction manual is extremely lousy. They will send another email to show how to pair the outlier air.

Not so easy to pair it, keep using the case to reset and after a master reset i finally able to synce left first instead if right.

Used spotify and impressive bass came.

Vocal not too bad but cannot play to loud , it will start to distort.

Somehow it cannot fit my right ear well.

At 99 it is worth it.

Can't say much on batt as i have just received it.

I found when disconnecting Bluetooth, the vocal say disconnected is very loud.
Anyone found how to reduce the vocal volume?
