My house uses KDK ceiling fan and it's the old fashion kind, quite lasting.

My personal preference for fans:
- At least 4 speeds, especially for bedrooms. Used to have 3 speed fan but I notice that the slowest speed can be too strong sometimes but off it you will feel too hot. With 4 speeds ceiling fan, the lowest speed is usually just good enough. Living room, strongest wind must be strong enough to cover a bigger area.
- With remote control, all ceiling fan should have remote nowadays
- LED light with different brightness. Brighter light for night reading, dim light when tucking the little ones to sleep.
- Cost
- Looks (very individual), I personally like glossy black and not those wooden grain type.

Just sharing my few cents here.

Yep, best way to know is to try yourself tbh. Very hard to say which ones would suit you best. Also depends if you want a light with it as well.

That said, I recommend choosing a DC fan. (Direct current fan)

I went around many light and fan shops in Baleister and Jalan Besar to try and feel the wind. DC fans are the most effective with the wind.

56 inch is generally a good size for the HDB living room size
46 inch or smaller is good for your bedrooms, depending on whether you have shelves/ wardrobes about and also false ceilings

Tip - Beware of fan shadows if you have a fan that will flip through the lights, it'll have a shadow all the time if your fan is too big

I brought some acorn fantasia fans, regulated price of 599 each regardless of 46 or 56 inch size. Will let you guys know if it is any good.

Meant to be a bit stylo and functional. And would suit my industrial look of my new place.

Hi guys,
I'm planning to get a ceiling fan with LED light but I don't really like the design of KDK and Panasonic. I'm also concerned about the ease of changing the light.

Which would u recommend? Crestar, Fanco, Kaze, Amasco, Acorn, Elmark or others?

Thank you in advance~

I heard many people will go JB and buy KDK. Any recommendation or reviews?

2things.Ceiling mounting not same as sg.
2nd when install need good electrician to balance.
Will have wobble if not.
Main thing is price. My hse has half sg and half msia fans due to budget.

Kdk fan has a separate thread here by itself.More info there.
