I saw FB ad promos for KDK and Airer brands.

Do you have any other Smartlife devices ?

Or Bestar is the 1st one ?

Make sure wifi password is correct. And connect to the 2.4G network.

Did you follow the pairing instructions guide ?

Is Wifi signal strong ?

Try bringing router closer.

Whatsapp to the follow Bestar support. They will send you the pairing video.

Your ID will know. Depends on the light angle and also fan stem length etc. all mathematics but some lighting company can do simulations

Managed to get 2 Alaska ceiling fans (1 Burah and 1 Curah) from Yafen store for $399 each. Quite a good promotion. Hopefully it will last.

Quite ex liao. Mecisteus less than $200 can get no1 brand Bestar. All of us overpaid liao for ceiling fan

Based on specs h56gp is stronger. Any user experience feedback?
The airflow is more similar than different imo.

Newer h56gp airflow is less smooth, has a bit of choppy helicopter effect. The blades hang lower, seems like 10cm lower. Having the fan blades further form the ceiling is beneficial for airflow, this is probably why it can compete with the 60” even though the blades are smaller.

The 60” 5 blade kdk fans have less choppy airflow but lack any smart capabilities. You can’t even use a smart switch because when the fan is initially on, power cycling leaves the fan in an off state.

Yes. I don’t recommend but you song you can buy. I not comfortable to put those cheap fans since I am sleeping below. I also don’t commission those 3rd party handyman to do installation for me. Only the authorised installer from the company

elvintay07 is correct guys, our Elmark fan, one blade suddenly shattered. Luckily nobody underneath got skewered like a kebab.

The cheap fans have no safety features to detect failure, use cheaper materials for the blade that are more likely to fail, and have cheaper motors with generic bearings that wobble a lot

Even if no one gets hurt, it can easily wreck something nearby like a TV

Personally I think KDK is the minimum standard for safety. Last time the school used hundreds of their fans, and none of the blades shattered.

So many possibilities here.

1) You probably bought from overseas
?
2) No safety mark ?
3) Improper cleaning method which can weaken the blade ?
4) Improper installation ?
5) Your model probably 1 of those recall ?

In late 2019, Enterprise Singapore issued a major recall for over 500 units of ceiling fans across 17 models from Elmark Marketing. These were found to be unregistered and lacked valid safety marks, posing risks of falling, fire, or electrocution.

A ceiling fan can still be perfectly safe and selling reasonably cheap.

This KDK = safe or expensive = safe is just a matter of mis-conception.

You can buy an expensive fan and it poses a safety hazard if the fan is not installed OR maintained properly.

1) local, but I’m not against buying overseas
2) Have safety mark, however safety mark only certifies electrical safety.
3) usually just water. Water with mama lemon if it’s sticky
4) fan base is securely attached to ceiling, it’s the fan blade that shattered. “Root” of the blade remains attached to the fan
