leaving the passport with at third link office doesn't sound safe. if they lose it for some reason, are they going to be responsible to replace a new one?

it seems more worth it to renew a passport instead of applying for MACS.

but if u drive then no point... faster by a few mins as they do not need to chop. with this price, i think i will get the chop instead of paying RM105!!!

drivers got mac or no mac doesnt make a big difference compared to walk-in clearance at CIQ :s22:

Please boycott this singapore $ sucking company and do not apply for macs, they will shut down when it is no longer profitable.

Those who go in to jb/m'sia frequently have to llst and bear with the exorbitant price and bad services :s22:

If you own a property in Jb, u can still do it at IRDA for RM$30. Need to bring the property SPA as proof together with photograph. If SPA under wife's name, need bring marriage cert too. Best to photocopy these document eg. SPA cover page.

is IRDA far from CIQ. If I take cab, will the cab driver know the place?
SPA need to bring original or copy? Besides, this, any other documents to bring? thanks

Not that far from CIQ, just google for the address and let the cab driver know.

Can save some photos of the place, save in your phone, then show him too.

There 2 operating hr in their website. Office and Payment. Does the "office" applies to application of MACS?

The opening hours :

Monday to Thursday
8.30 am - 1.00 pm Office

2.00 p.m - 4.00 p.m Payment

Friday
8.30 am - 12.00 pm Office

3.00 pm - 4.00 pm Payment

the danga bay one is only for those living at iskandar malaysia?

Seriously, there's no necessity for us to get MACS unless we often go over during peak hours, and the RM remains so low that all sorts of people are making their trips from here.

This thread is only 10 pages long, but with discussions on how MACS could be applied from the 2 CIQs, to how those offices were closed and where to go now.

I personally don't have MACS and as far as I know from occasionally reading the discussions, there's only 1 office in SG to do it now, and that the Danga Bay office is only for those with actual connection with Iskandar Malaysia.

So if anyone is too lazy/busy to go through the discussions painstakingly typed out by fellow members, I can only say Google the information yourself, or whatever others are able to share with you either pick up from there and contact the relevant offices if you suspect the information is old/inaccurate. Or, you can wait until a day when someone has the time to type out the information all over again.

Still think the information in previous discussions are not enough? Call them yourself lah! :p
