1080ti dying?

Been using my 1080ti since 2016 and i think it's finally dying.. been getting BSOD with video_tdr_failure error before and now it just randomly restarts after my screen flash yellow or light blue sometimes. Mobo also showing the led showing issue with vga issue (?) Tried cleaning the whole pc and reseating everything but still got problem..

Any pro can lmk if this confirms that it's the issue with the gpu? if yes, can anyone reco if i should just change the gpu or whole pc (last me since 2016 liao). and if 3070ti or 4080ti is a better option ty

Sometimes can be power supply or driver causing the issue.
Have you tried:

- Update the graphic card driver, does it black out during the installation?
*Disconnect from the internet when updating the driver.
- Run 3Dmark

I have tried updating the graphic card driver to try and resolve the issue but it still has the problem. have not tried running 3d mark is it for testing the gpu?

List the spec of your computer. Since it's been 7 years i guess most of the hardwares are dying and need replacement.

If you have a limited budget, bring to a reliable shop at SLS to diagnose and replace the dying parts, else get
a new computer. 7 years already worth your money.

FYI mixing different brands RAM isn't recommend, hope those RAM XMP are not turn on.

What will happen if 2 different brand RAMs are being used? Will it cause the mobo to spoil due to incompatibility issue? I will stick to same brands in future then. Is there an alternative for the benchmark? I dont have it.

I see. Do you have any recommendations such as going intel or amd? Or which series to go for for GPU? Not to up to date with current pricing on GPU ever since mining made the price explode..

also saw that psu reco is 700W for 4070ti. any advice if i should reuse part like PSU and RAM to save cost?

Is it safe to use my 5 year old 750W Superflower PSU? Saw that the minimum was 700W for PSU. Wondering if i should get another 750W / Resuse or get 850W to be safe

For RTX 4000 Series? Actually for Intel 8th gen I recommend RTX 3000 but take ntoe Intel 8th gen only supports PCIE3.0 while the new RTX 4000 supports PCIE4.0.

Before you upgrade graphic card, do update the BIOS first to fully support RTX 3000 and above graphic card else it will black screen.

Not mobo will spoil different brands uses different memory IC as well as XMP CAS are different.
I think your PC RAM the XMP isn't turn on thus no issue since there are two different brands
of RAM work.

So for XMP to work all four sticks must be same.

I still recommend you to upgrade to RTX 3070 Ti than RTX 4000 series, another issue is your power supply.

The new RTX 4000 uses the new 12VHPWR, unclear whether that power supply can support or not
even though you can use converter.
So RTX 3000 series is more safer for you to upgrade than RTX 4000 series.

RTX 3080 I don't think you can find anymore and RTX 3070 wise some shops may still have.
My only concern is compatibility of RTX 4000 with your current rig so RTX 3000 is a

If budget limited change the GPU first. At the same time, take a look at the hogwarts benchmarks on youtube. There are some instances where it hits the CPU quite heavily.

im trying to keep within 2.5k budget while reusing things like my case and pc fans, although i heard if im getting 13th gen cpu it can run hot so might need to get a good cooler. and yeah i heard hogwarts is poorly optimised and currently bottlenecked by cpu :/ using i7-8700k rn
